Buyer saying there is an issue with their purchase

Summary: A participant initiated a discussion regarding a buyer's complaint about an issue with their purchase. springyzone responded to the original post but did not provide additional details or solutions within the response.

I have recently sold a phone. There was nothing wrong with it but she insisting that there is an issue with the screen. There was nothing wrong with it all all upon posting, and I never had any issues with the screen. She has sent photos of the screen, she had it on eye protection mode turned that off, she has on it screen brightness adaptive and the brightness is down to near zero. What can I do if I know myself that there was nothing wrong with the phone and the buyer is stating that there is? All I can see is that she has the screen brightness too low and the brightness adaptive on. I don't want a bad name on my account where I know 100% there is nothing wrong with it.

I think buying and selling phones on ebay is probably risky business.

I guess the first thing you can do is give her the benefit of the doubt and reply, giving her clear instructions on how to adjust the settings so the screen brightness is acceptable.

If you are quick to reply, polite and helpful, that should work in your favour if she is a genuine person.

If she persists though in thinking the screen is defective, she may open a return claim, in which case you would probably be best to accept it and pay for return postage as at least you'd get the phone back (hopefully). Let us know how you get on & what her reaction is.
