I just lost a sale because my buyer could not find out how to request an invoice in order for me to work out the correct postage calculation. They were being asked to pay $75 for shipping for 3 pop vinyls, when I calculated the postage by weight and size it was $13.50!! I have multiple Pop Vinyls on the one listing so buyers can select multiple items but of course the boxes are all different sizes and weights. Obviously, the buyer does not want to pay before we've worked out the postage cost so what am I doing wrong? How do I change the cost of postage for individual orders at my end if the buyer is unable to request an invoice at their end? NB: I have the request for invoices enabled on my listing.

·8 months agoMy buyers cannot request a combined shipping invoice either. I have always thought it was because I have 'immediate payment required' on my listings.
I simply tell the buyer the combined postage cost & tell them to go ahead & buy/pay, and that I will refund the excess postage paid.
About 90 percent of buyers go ahead and purchase (the other 10 percent disappear into the ether).

Correct, as immediate payment negates the possibility of invoicing.

·8 months agoIf the buyer is using a phone app, the "request total" button may not be available to them.
in this situation I've been able to ask the buyer to tell me the item numbers they want, work out the postage, get back to buyer and if they are happy with it, then either
Even when a buyer is using a desktop device the system requests them to commit to buy before enabling the "request total from Seller" button. If they really want, they'll have no problem with that.
