Declining views and sales - would love some insight anyone?

I've been selling for fun and a small side hustle of extra income. I don't have a shop but I keep considering it and wondering when is a good/ right time for me (if at all). I watch quite a few resellers on youtube and have implemented so many tips over the last 3-4 months - best practice listing titles, listing everyday, ending and selling similar for items that are more than 2-3 months old, responding to watchers and offers quickly, filling in as many specifics as I can, taking photos on plain or white backgrounds, taking a few photos for every listing, posting quickly etc and I have 100% feedback.
In Jan/Feb I started to see a good uplift with sales (almost daily) and a bigger sales on weekends. I thought I had cracked the ebay algorithm and all was going well. I'm still doing all of the above but suddenly my new listings are getting 0 views, I'm getting hardly any watchers, few offers and sales feel like they have dried up! I'm getting close to 700 listings and also started to make some items available for international sale. I generally focus on media - CDs and DVDs - and books with a few other interesting items here and there.
Any suggestions/ recommendations? I'm feeling very disappointed that sales are so slow and low and apart from giving stuff away, what can I do to improve things?
Thanks in advance.

·3 years agoG'day!
I would suggest trying sponsored listings to see if this helps pick your sales up. I have had the same issues and found my sales lift was significant. The change was almost instant.
Cheers!

OP3 years agoThanks yes I'm trying that now - may I ask what % you use for promoted listings? I am using 2-3%

·2 years agoMy entire store's listings are sponsored, but I've had ZERO sales in the last 5 days (go have a look). I've gone from daily orders (here and there a couple of days or one day, with nothing) to zero.
Very frustrating.

·1 year agoThe exact same here - 5 days - nothing. Looks like eBay AI search is a dismal failure. Sales just go from bad to worse.

·3 years agoI've found that once you reach the threshold per month (whatever that $ value is) you may as well be invisible....then it's someone else's turn....it doesn't matter what you do.

·3 years agoThe limiting factor will always be the items you sell and the size of your store. Start selling more expensive items that are in demand and you will increase your sales amount.
straybooksoz
·3 years agoI have generally found that to be the case.
However, early this month I sold a book that netted me my 'normal' monthly return. I am still making sales...

·2 years agowe also find that - though lately selling anything is almost impossible
