My sold item was delivered for the convenience of the buyer and not picked-up.
The buyer did not have an automatically generated code when the item was delivered.
The status of the item is not "pending" delivery.
How do i now mark the item as delivered?

·1 year agoNo code or don,t want to use the app etc.
From ebay,
If you don't want to use the app, ask the buyer to sign a copy of the eBay order form at the time of pickup.
Is it possible to drop back and get the order signed.

·1 year agoThe wording's always been very ambiguous in regards to receiving the 6 digit code and from some of the questions on the boards, it seems that some buyers haven't received the code if they intended to pay eg: cash
but of course it could be that they haven't used the app.
In one part, it says
"The seller will let you know which payment methods they accept. In addition to paying via eBay checkout, you can sometimes pay for local pickup items by internet banking, cheque or money order – either beforehand or when you pick up your item. Sellers may also accept cash for local pickup purchases"
followed by
"After you've completed your purchase, we'll send you an email with a local pickup code (a QR code and a 6-digit code). You can either take the email with you or show the seller the code in your eBay app when you collect your item"
So does completed mean they've gone through checkout and paid by a method covered by eBay's money back guarantee?
Or not ?
Good idea for the OP to get the invoice signed but really no reason to if the buyer paid by cash,
as the MBG doesn't apply.

I've never seen an option to mark as sent in a pick up only item but more importantly, how did the buyer pay ?
If it's not a payment method covered by eBay's Money Back Guarantee, the buyer doesn't always get sent a 6 digit code.

·1 year agoSo - if not picked-up - it was posted.
Did you enter the tracking for the item - it would show delivered.

·1 year agoit was hand-delivered by OP

OP1 year agoI can't mark as "sent" because the item was listed only for pick-up.
The only option available to me is to "Enter the buyer's 6-digit code, located in their confirmation email" to confirm "pick-up.
The buyer did not receive a code>

·1 year agoMore importantly how do you prove it was hand delivered if the buyer opens an item not received dispute
And have you completed sign up to Managed Payments and been verified to sell?
A lot has changed since 'more than a year ago' when it comes to selling
Your funds will be on hold again etc etc
Even more so when you cannot prove the buyer received the item
