·4 months agoEveryone is treated equally. eBay have zero idea of any seller's abilities etc
They also expect those who use the site to know at least the basics of how things work
If the item did not sell you would not have been charged anything and would not have had an account frozen
And since you don't let other members know what actually happened, we can only guess
The item did 'sell' but the buyer did not pay and you failed to report the non payment so were charged fees accordingly
The item did sell, the buyer did pay but because you had not signed up to Managed Payments, you did not get the money the buyer paid and the buyer rightfully opened a dispute against you that went unresolved
You listed on eBay and elsewhere, it sold both places but you honoured the sale the other place it sold
Or the account in question was hijacked and someone sold on it without your knowledge
Was it any of those things that happened?
Have you contacted eBay at any point about this?

and understand about transaction holds

Which category was the item listed ?
Do you mean the item sold but the buyer didn't pay ?
in which case you have 30 days to cancel the order - buyer didn't pay - to have your fees refunded

·4 months agoYes I saw that but wondered if the OP meant the buyer didn't pay , so not really sold.
Because the OP says that eBay have taken over $200, presumably in fees
