ebay australia is a forgotten dying platform
Its my understanding that ebay australia is now a dying platform and no longer has any growth potential.
This is relevant by the poor customer support, and lack of dedicated customer support.
They have a call back system instead of a dedicated call centre, as its allows them to provide extremely low quality service at an extremely cheap price.
There are no longer physical buildings or further development, with everything going into the online nothingness.
Just a warning to get out while you can

·4 years agoAmazon, will drive the nail into the ebay coffin. 2 day delivery with FBA. Ebay failed to see the the direction of online shopping and demand of better service for both seller and buyer.

·4 years agoIt hasn't so far. Besides, ebay don't post the items out like Amazon, the individual sellers do. Always makes me cack myself when I see people threaten ebay with Amazon. They are nothing alike, apart from having a website.
I bought something from Amazon 5 weeks ago. Still waiting for it to arrive.

A few days ago my yearly subscription ran out for Amazon Prime, and that's the end of this vendor for me.
I waited 6 weeks (2 weeks delivery clearly stated) for an expensive Airfix model kit, only for it to arrive crushed nearly flat, and it wasn't even in its 'travel box' that Airfix uses to ensure safe transport internationally! They removed this box and used a 'very thin' and useless Amazon box instead.
And instead of an apology, all I got was a rude email explaining how to use the refund system, my god! it was from the UK, and I really wanted that kit 😞 well, long story short, this was the third time this year that Amazon had delivered a trashed product, so now I'm eBay AU all the way and there is NO way that this company will collapse just because Amazon is trying to muscle other vendors here in Australia. Most of us remember when we get the **bleep** end of the stick.
