EBay cancelled a sale due to buyer's poor account behaviour
Hi! I'm new here and confused.
I sold an item, got a notification to wait till buyer had paid.
Then I got another notification saying EBay have cancelled the sale due to suspect buyer behaviour. All ok but I see my listing now appears as sold.
How can I get it back to For Sale asap?
I would've thought that was automatic if a sale didn't take place?
Any help would be much appreciated!

·3 years agoLooks like the buyer has been booted off ebay.
Definitely do as the others have said and sign up for Managed Payments, or you'll never get paid. It's a requirement to sell.
Once you've done that, there should be a dropdown next to your sold listing, where you can either relist, or sell similar. Given that nothing is showing up from the item number, I'm not sure that ebay hasn't removed it. What was it you sold?

·3 years agoThis account only created on 5th March. Cannot see how you could have gone through the verification process, been approved to sell and sell an item in 3 days. I am confused as well.

OP3 years agoWell, as I'm brand new to this I wouldn't know about the process you've mentioned. However what I do know is that I listed my first item on a Sunday, got a notification it was sold on the Monday evening along with instructions about waiting to receive funds before posting item. Then another notification on the Wednesday to say sale cancelled due to buyer account concerns. along with details about what I should avoid in regard to the buyer and the cancelled sale.
My concern is that my For Sale item listing remains marked as 'sold' hence I can't relist it.
And eBay haven't replied to any communication from me.
Altogether totally messy and makes me inclined to have nothing else to do with eBay.

This item was the first listing I had created. Listed and accepted by eBay on Sunday, notified on Monday it was sold, notified on Wednesday sale was cancelled due to concerns about the buyers account/behaviour.
Problem is eBay have listed it a sold on my account details and it's not.
I would've thought if eBay cancelled the sale (which is ok given their reasons) the item would be relisted or available to be relisted. But that option doesn't seem to be open to me.

It does not show you have had any listings or completed listings on this account, and eBay do not tell anyone about 'buyer behaviour' as it is against their 'privacy policy'
So confused as you are
BUT As you say you don't know about the process for signing up to Managed Payments, and have not been verified and given the go ahead to sell, it would be 100% pointless for you to list or sell anything as you will not be paid
If you are not willing to do what you need to do, very good idea not to use eBay
