EBay in there wisdom have decided to suspend me
Summary: The discussion is initiated by darremance0 who shares their frustration about being suspended by eBay, referring to it as a decision made in "their wisdom." Various participants, including sandypebbles, padi*0409, gutterpunkz05, etb321, and springyzone, join the conversation, but their responses do not contain any additional content. The thread reflects a series of uninformative replies following the original post about the eBay suspension.
Why won’t eBay tell people why they are suspended from selling even after completely providing everything they ask for bank statements proof of purchase of products then they have the hide to say could take 170 days to free my money eBay u r not god

·1 year agoYou are correct that ebay is not god, but some external agencies that can dictate account suspensions to ebay, probably have more power than god. 170 days sounds like a full financial and security assessment, which may include vetting of your family and associates.

Since you were asked for purchase receits I'll assume the nature of the problem is financial. Your still with us so my thinking is that the purchase receits and bank statements saved you, but were not quite enough. There is still doubt, hence the suspension.
Think carefully, the reason for the suspension might be in one of the following.
Has anybody asked you to sell items for them?
Did you get a real bargain with any of your stock purchases?
Are you selling new in the box items for less than half price?
Did you transfer money electronically?

·1 year agoFrom what i can see, the feedback you have received so far has all been positive but ebay is certainly having a good look at your account for some reason.
You would be classified as a new seller so even without any trouble, your money would be on hold for 30 days as a safety precaution.
All I can think of is there may have been a problem with whatever you were listing at the time and that has now been pulled down.
Go into the help pages and read up about all the categories as some things are prohibited on ebay and maybe some things you listed were in one of those categories.
Something like this happened to me years back. Not banned or anything, but we listed something and used a key word in our description and the ad was soon deleted and we had a message, which at least alerted us to what the problem was.
I guess the other problems could be with your ID if they think you are linked in any way to a banned account or if all your details for managed payments are not in order.
I don't think there is any definite way anyone here can know & ebay often doesn't release exact details about what actions they have taken or why.
There probably won't be much you can do about it except hope they can release your money before the 170 days.
If you are suspended from selling on ebay, maybe try marketplace or one of the spoecialised groups on facebook.

·1 year agoEbay is constantly scanning, for serious violations of their terms and conditions and or suspicious financial activity.
It is not personal.

·1 year ago170 days, someone is having a serious look into your account, could be external agencies involved, in which case it can be illegal for ebay to divulge any information to you.

·1 year agoDid you sign up for Managed Payments and provide both verified bank details AND verified ID as required?
Edit. Snap Sandy.

·1 year agoIn many cases they are not allowed to tell people why
No use telling eBay 'u r not god' here, they rarely read the member to member forum
Did you sign up to Managed Payments and be verified to sell?
Why 170 days?
If eBay have indeed fully pinged you then that is the end of the story
You've been on eBay 10 years so you should have some idea of the basics
