I am a new seller where every item I have sold has been delivered to customers and only had two customer negative feedback one was a misunderstanding and the other the buyer lied eventually I got instant payouts which made it easier for me to ship out ordered but then after around 3 -4 days ebay removed why instant payouts and now wants me to ship out items first and once delivered i get paid I spoke to ebay support about this and as always they are extremely unhelpful anyone know why this is how i can get it fixed this makes it hard for me to ship out orders. Yes I tried to appeal the negative feedback both times but ebay seems to only care about customers and never listened to my side of the story as well as same with trying to report them or appeal to ebay direct.

I am a buyer, not a seller, but even I have heard of the 30 day hold on funds for new sellers.

It isn't as if you can't eventually get that money but you have to be able to afford to pay the postage costs etc out of your own pocket for that month.

What has amazed me is that you seem to have this misguided view that you're performing well.

    You're not.

You actually had one positive feedback where the customer was generous in my view, as you cancelled the order. One of your negs was for exactly the same thing. If you can't get the stock to 2 people out of a handful of orders, that is pretty pathetic.

Plus how dare you say the other customer was a liar. Their feedback was detailed and had the ring of truth to it, to me. Have you even measured your shirts to double check they match the chart? I bet the answer is no, as you seem to be drop shipping them.

Saying no refunds or returns etc is meaningless if an item isn't as described or is faulty.

I am glad ebay upheld the negatives. You need to do better, all round.

PS I learnt something new today. Had no idea ebay gave automated positive feedback after a week to new sellers. How lucky are you. What happens if one of those buyers though isn't happy? Most buyers would assume they had 2 months in which to give feedback, I would have.

That was exactly my thought as well Springy, I would be hopping mad if after a month or so I couldn't leave a neg for an INAD dispute for a seller, when eBay had taken away my right to leave feedback.  😡

Apparently  buyers can override automatic feedback but I have no idea what shows at the buyer's end, whether it shows   "Leave Feedback " or something else.

"Automated feedback from eBay will remain visible unless your experience was less than positive, for example you opened a return request, you didn't receive the item, or the order was cancelled.

You can still leave your own feedback about your experience which will replace any automated feedback already left"

The following thread is a prime example.

The OPs negative feedback was removed.

I asked the seller whether the iPads were new or used.

He responded  'used'  so I reported it and consequently seller NARU

And just to add, the iPad seller  had sent the OP a message saying  'ha ha ha, your negative feedback will be removed'.

It was reported in a different way the second time after the first  response of

"We looked into your report and didn’t find the listing to be in violation of our policy. This determination was made using automation or artificial intelligence"

Probably not related to feedback, but more likely your sales metrics.

Are you now classed as a below average seller?  If so holds and additional fees are likely to apply.

I  strongly suggest  that you remove  "Made In Australia"  from your images.

The images you've copied from sites such as AliExpress, Shein  and others.

IF  you're drop shipping , read this

    100% agree

And the Aussie avatar and attempt at Aussie name with the over overdone additions

All of which are exactly what sellers in China with even worse feedback do

It all screams avoid avoid avoid

Your feedback shows just 2 successful transactions and 3 where you've provided a woeful buyer experience.

Without the 4 eBay generated feedback, only 40% of your transactions have been of an acceptable and expected standard.

Forget the payments on hold... I'm extremely surprised that you're still able to sell at all.

You should be thinking yourself lucky and trying to fly under the radar, rather than drawing attention to your sub-standard practices, thereby outing yourself on a public forum.

When did eBay start generating feedback?

70% of my sales don't attract feedback and I've never had eBay boost my ratings.

Maybe it's to protect newbies who would otherwise have less than 50%?

I'm not sure when it started. I've only ever seen it on new seller's accounts, and it's extremely obvious that it's meaningless.

Like you, I've never received any - but I'd rather not have it anyway. I believe feedback quality is of far greater benefit/value than feedback quantity.

"When did eBay start generating feedback?"

    Ages ago  - It's ridiculous.

I've seen it on the feedback pages of  ipad scammers, counterfeit items scammers,  new dropshipping sellers and otherwise downright BAD  new sellers.

"Automated feedback is positive feedback which is automatically added to successfully completed transactions in the following circumstances:
    • You don't leave feedback within 7 days of the estimated delivery date
    • You don't report an issue with their transaction
    • The seller has received 10 feedback or less.

We add automated feedback to provide more information to other eBay users and help them buy and sell with confidence."

Not sure how you got instant payout as a new seller

All new sellers are suppose to have a 30 hold on funds, which sellers agree to when listing

And yes, you are indeed suppose to send items within your stated handling time and not wait for the holds to be up

And you are right, eBay is all about the buyer

If a buyer says so, that is what happened

Regardless of if the buyer is telling the truth or not

There is no 'way around' the holds on funds you agreed to when listing

The only way not to be seen as a 'new' seller, is to tell enough/often enough

    Plus also

    And not fall below standard

    with 77.8%

AND, you cannot 'state' no returns when the item is not as described

No returns is for change of mind only

Also, are you using your own photos?

    And are you drop shipping?

Your listings have all the hallmarks of those things
