eBay showing buyers local pick-up option, 100s/1000s of KM from item location

I've recently had two buyers who've bought a local pick-up item from me, only to discover that the item is actually 100s or 1000s of km away. In both cases the item stated local pick up within a short distance from their location. The items were listed with both postage & pick up options available
Have any other sellers had this happen?
Both of the items had the correct postcode & my town/state in the location field. I don't know if they were searching on a mobile device or laptop/etc.
