eBay stopped allowing automatic tracking number uploads from Mypost business???

Summary: huon_valley_health_merchants experienced an issue with eBay not uploading tracking numbers from Mypost Business, suspecting eBay was pushing sellers to use their label service. brickworksmarket offered a solution to print four labels per page, which huon_valley_health_merchants later implemented. The integration issue was resolved, and despite initially finding eBay labels more expensive, huon_valley_health_merchants returned to using Mypost. e_purchasing and others debated whether the issue was due to eBay or Australia Post, with some members suggesting manual tracking uploads as a temporary solution. southernhats shared a separate frustration with eBay's labeling policies affecting funds release.

In the last 2 days I've experienced a serious integration issue with my Mypost business account Australia Post. When I print the labels for the eBay orders, eBay is not uploading the tracking number and marking it as sent as it usually does. I can still import the orders into Mypost business just fine. But it seems eBay are now trying to force sellers to create labels through their platform. Which I attempted to do today, It even applied my australiapost savings band level 5. But it only allows you to print 2 labels per page on an A4, I use a4 sheets with 4 on each page which is the standard postage label size. Long story short, this is pathetic by eBay

Your issue has nothing to do with the OP's issue, which was the fault of, and rectified by, Australia Post.

As a free seller, you are required to use ebay postage labels (limited exceptions)

I am posting my experience in support of Huon Valley Health Merchants post from July 2026. I absolutely agree that Ebay is forcing sellers to create postage labels through their platform. I'm a small seller with a faultless 20 year history on Ebay and over 400 positive reviews. I rarely sell on Ebay these days, I always like to include postage at my cost, and recently sold an item and used my own prepaid Aust Post express envelope with evidence of successful delivery through Australia Post. Ebay refuse to releases my funds. I have wasted many hours over 5 calls to Ebay "customer service agents" talking in circles and one commenting that the amount of my held funds is a "meagre amount". I hope my experience will warn other Ebay sellers of this unacceptable practise by Ebay. Shame on them!

There is no point contacting eBay staff (who just read from scripts regardless)

All sellers on 'free selling' must use eBay labels

All sellers have been advised of this numerous times by eBay, well before it came into practise

(I have not sold in years and even I got numerous emails about it)

Unacceptable it may well be. but all sellers on 'free selling' agreed to do it, as per the information given in those numerous emails

Nowhere was there an * to say it would not apply to sellers who have been here x amount of years or x amount of feedback

It is not about any other members 'not supporting' sellers

Other members are simply pointing out what the policy is, and that those sellers agreed to the policy, which really does indeed apply to them

Since all your feedback is from 'over a year ago' so long as you have done everything required for Managed Payments, your funds ought to be available after 31 days

eBay staff do not have the 'power' to release the funds early, especially if a seller has not done as they were required to do

No point wasting your time with the customer service people

Shame on YOU for ignoring 1-communication from eBay 2-Ebay's terms of the free selling program.

Furthermore, your issue has nothing in common with Huon Valley Health Merchants post/issue

The automatic uploading of tracking from MyPost Business to Ebay orders is still working fine here, so the advice you have received that auto uploading of tracking is no longer supported, is Ebay CS BS.

Check with Mypost Business support, to see if they can assist

I'm experiencing the same issue. For high volume sellers having to update tracking individually is a nightmare, hopefully this is a glitch.

Just putting it out there... it literally takes just a few seconds to scan and upload tracking. It may not be the way you usually do it, or what you're used to doing, but the pittance of time you lose can be easily made up elsewhere throughout your day. In fact, the time you've spent creating this thread alone would have covered 2 or 3 hundred scans - or more.

Sorry what do you mean by scan and upload? Without automatic tracking uploading, I have to copy and paste each and every tracking number from Aus post over to eBay. Which for high volume sellers amounts to hours more work each week

You have on average less than 6 transactions a day , that is 30 minutes a week not hours more and gives you a solution to the temporary issue caused by Aust Post

I have a lot more than 6 sales per day. And instead of just encouraging me to forget about it and copy paste the tracking how about comment a solution to the issue or don't comment at all?

    Your feedback says different.

I already did and I told you it was an Aust Post issue and NOT an eBay issue so don't waste member's time complaining about eBay and ignoring helpful interim solutions

Not sure how or where you're getting that number from, but I spend $1.5k pw with Mypost, and work 5 days pw. So yeah, a few more than 6 per day champ. Nice red star btw

After you click on "Add tracking" the landing page has a text box to manually enter the number, with the word "Scan" underneath.

Clicking on it opens the device camera, which reads the label code (works for both QR and barcode) which automatically adds the tracking number to the order and usually populates the carrier field.

On the rare occasion that the carrier field isn't auto-poulated, simply select Australia Post from the dropdown menu (it's the only available option).

Once the carrier field is populated, click the blue "Save and continue" button.

The whole process literally takes only 2 or 3 seconds more than opening the dropdown box, locating and clicking on "Mark as sent".

Did you ever consider this was an Aust Post issue rather than eBay? Obviously not!

The fact is that it is an Auspost issue, something to do with new pricing integration that has messed with the API and they are working on resolving it.

Thanks for the response. eBay reps have been extremely contradictory and confusing with their explanations to me thus far. But they have told me that they no longer support auto tracking uploads from 3rd party postal services. Where did you hear it was an ozpost issue? Can I see this info?

That does not sound right and maybe you confused the rep.

My son who sells volume on eBay called them and asked and was told it was not from eBay's end and then called AP who confirmed it was from their end and are working on it

DIal 131118 and ask Australia Post and confirm for yourself (which you should have done yesterday when I gave you the heads up)

Everyone gets the discount with ebay labels and I have switched most of my posting away from mypost now it is cheaper for most parcels.

You can change the layout to print 4 per page.

All good worked it out. Just gotta change it on the printing page when you go to print. So it looks like creating labels through eBay will be fine. Probably quicker infact with the ability to bulk edit labels

The discount is still not as much as Mypost savings band 5 though. Labels through eBay are about 30c more expensive than myPost savings band 5.

The integration issue has now been fixed, so I have gone back to generating my labels on Mypost

The integration issue only lasted for just on 24 hours.

Of course the savings band 4 discount afforded by eBay labels is less than the savings band 5 discount. It doesn't take a rocket surgeon to work that much out.

Unaware? Again, no. You yourself stated that the eBay label discount is less than savings band 5. You were very well aware or you wouldn't have mentioned it.
