Free selling account (no fees) but still with scheduled payouts?

Summary: retro-kelli started a discussion regarding issues with a free selling account, including a glitch where no payouts were made since June 11. After some exchanges with other participants, retro-kelli confirmed that the issue appears to have been resolved, with payouts now possible on-demand.

Anybody else on the free selling account (no fees), and still getting scheduled payouts?  According to Ebay, I'm meant to now be on, on-demand payments only, but I'm still getting scheduled daily payouts that I've always been on.  I'd actually rather change over to on-demand, but I can't find any way of changing it.  Anyone else?

OK so it appears that Ebay have finally fixed the glitch this week. Had no payouts since 11 June and $$ that have come in since have remained sitting in my account waiting for me to request an on-demand payout. Finally!

Go to one of your listings >>> top of page>>>> … in a circle>>>> click on that >>>report technical problem.

It is direct access to Tech Team - sometimes they even reply…good luck 🍀

I just got off a SECOND chat to an Ebay Agent about this. Again, I was told that FROM TODAY on-demand payouts will happen because they could see the big blue banner in my Payments section that says I am on On-Demand payments.  I had to reiterate AGAIN that the banner has been there telling me this for a couple of weeks now, but that's not what is happening - I am STILL getting scheduled daily payouts.  He FINALLY admitted there is clearly a glitch going on here and is going to escalate the issue to the specialist team.  There is nothing more I can do, and will just have to wait until it's fixed.  Anyone else having this issue - hold tight, will just have to let the Ebay Gods fix it in their own time lol

Annnnnnd as expected, today 9 June, I have been paid out in full automatically AGAIN.  I'm now going to go into negative balance as the Ebay labels I printed last night & this morning haven't  been added to my account balance yet.

Worth a read for ' free ' sellers.

This is not really useful in this instance.  Free sellers are meant to ALL be on ON-DEMAND payouts only.

I hope you don't mind me pointing this out  but just in case some read the AI review  incorrectly, an On Demand payout is free to transfer.

The express 'on demand'  payout  fee of 1.5% , used on other sites, is not relevant to Australia at this stage.

As noted all payouts are free of charge.

And if ' working ' one can stipulate how much to withdraw at ' on demand '.

Enough could be left in to cover emergencies.

Yes, this is exactly what I want to do - decide how much and when I want to withdraw!!

No, because the daily payouts completely clear my Ebay account and pay the whole lot into my bank account.  This is the issue - there is NO WAY for me to stop this.

As it’s a technical issue and eBay CS staff on eBay chat are not exactly in a position to exhort eBay IT to fix the glitch and clean up the mess… it’s all chaos and crumbs.

You can try the chat, type in Speak to a human (or supervisor) to get out of Bot Hell, but you’ll not be getting in touch with a technician or web coding expert. The CS staff read from scripts and will say soothing things such as how much eBay appreciates you, how splendid a member you’ve been, how admirable your loyalty is, how the issue is either known and being worked on OR how the issue is completely unknown and they’re escalating it for you as a priority, and of course someone will contact you with updates within 24-48 hours…

Basically CS will use the best butter to placate you and get you off the chat. Their anodyne responses will not move the dial even by a whisker but you’ll feel so heard (apparently).

The cold hard reality is that eBay technical staff will fix the problem or they won’t, based upon goodness only knows what their current project outcome may be or what skills they have in dealing with the e-hoarding state of eBay’s infrastructure.

I just got off a chat with an agent which was extremely painful.  The agent kept repeating that I "should" have the option to request a payout - which I don't have, and have not had since the rollout of the new plans.  Despite asking the agent why the daily payouts are continuing to occur,  the agent kept alluding that I must have requested it - despite NEVER requesting any of them! I could not get a plausible answer or reason, and was told there is no "glitch" and in the end was told "An update occurred on the system today, 8 June" which allegedly should revert my account to on-demand payouts from today onwards.  I must say I am not at all confident !

I have the same issue. How do you actually get in contact with a human agent to resolve this?
