    Getting paid

Summary: The discussion titled "Getting paid" involves several participants but lacks detailed content. Individuals such as 14macca83, pnc75, *casey*, and others are involved, but no specific opinions, questions, or decisions are shared.

Hi I am very sceptical about posting my item that is worth alot of money. Ebay are holding my funds till I send it. Whos to say that the buyer will say they didnt get it or say it was damaged. Dose it then go to a he said she said type thing and dispute it how? Im just worried because the buyer also has only sold cheap things beforeonline

eBay are holding your funds as you are a new seller and that is the same for every new seller, sellers who have not sold in a long time and sellers who only sell now and then

    BUT

even if the funds were not on hold, you would still more than likely be scammed

Nothing to do with what the buyer has sold before etc and as buyers can only be left positive feedback, you also have no idea if they have already scammed a hundred sellers

A very inexperienced seller, selling a scam magnet for $7000

There is no way that sale is going to end well

    You should be worried

You should do as advised and cancel the sale

To add, the fact that a 'buyer'  bought it outright  and didn't even make an offer, there's always a  good chance that the buyer is a scammer or  it's  a hijacked account, stolen credit card etc

    Is the buyer overseas ?

    Cancel The Transaction

100% agree with pnc. Cancel the transaction.

I can almost guarantee that if you post it, you'll be scammed in some way

All  the buyer has to do is open an 'item not as described' case  calling it a fake, eBay will agree with the buyer, they'll send you back their own fake and you'll lose the item and your money

It’s actually illegal to post « fake » items in Australia, either sending or receiving. So if the buyer was to open a SNAD dispute with the reason the item is fake/counterfeit they won’t have to post the item back, and as such the seller will lose their money and the item.

OMG!!! If it's the Cooper Clagg thing, cancel the order now using 'problem with buyer's address'.  Don't ever sell anything of such high value on ebay. It has become a scammers' paradise, sadly. You need to go to an auction house or somewhere else where someone with more knowledge than me can  direct you.
