How im feeling as a seller on eBay

As a seller I was getting excited building my little store signed up for subscription the lot but the past week and multiple glitches,from the app double listing over 40 items by itself but not sticking duplicate on some and scrolling your own 600 listing to figure out what has and had not done it , now to the selling tabs in tbe app not working, im actually wondering what actually importance are we as sellers to ebay past our $$ generated for them .and a little for us ,I feel as sellers we are left hanging in limbo no access to customer service without question after question from an ai bot ,you get a human but still get no where ,no protection from scamming people,we just have to refund even with proof so loss of stock and revenue and still pay a commission to ebay .
And this week alone after dealing with a lose in the family i really didn't need the extra stress created by ebay just for trying to sell .
Im now left wondering is it actually worth it as there are other platforms.
Being fairly new id love to hear the views of more seasoned sellers on whether its a stay or go moment.

·2 weeks ago · EditedI'm not a seller now because I don't have enough to sell to bother jumping through all the hoops ebay has now to set up a selling account, and as you said, it carries some risk these days from scamming people.
But there are several regular sellers on the forum who seem to be doing well & my guess would be they build something extra into the price to cover potential problems-things such as losses in the post or ebay claims. Not that there should be many losses in the post, but there is the potential for delays and someone may make a claim.
It probably depends on what you are selling too & I had a quick look at your items. It seems you have sold 1.9k items, which is a lot, so you're obviously very experienced with how the ebay system works. And going on what you seem to be selling (jewellery) I'd think ebay is a good site for that, much better than marketplace would be.
What other selling sites did you have in mind and would the commissions be any less than on ebay?
If you're comfortably set up on ebay, it may be worth riding out the glitches but maybe some sellers here will be able to help you more.
Sorry to hear of your loss, I think when something like that happens, you're under a lot of stress and any extra stress from other sources can just feel like too much and overwhelming. Maybe cut back on how much you list over the next few weeks and give yourself a break till things settle a little bit for you.
PS I don't think you have to make hard decisions to stay or go right now. In a few weeks, if you want to, you can always list a few things on another site, while still having things on ebay as well, and just see how things go. It doesn't have to be either/or, it can be both.
