So i sold an item on ebay now they wont give me my money As they say money on hold, my question is why???
the buyer already said he was happy with the product a gave me a positive feedback, how in the hell can eBay hold my money for 30 days i sold and item now i want my money funny how eBay took its share real quick, if something doesn't get done i am going to have to contact Fair Trading. This is not how selling something works in the real world so in plain English i sold something worth a lot of money because i needed money the person received the goods and is happy with it, but i haven't been paid for it. Its been a week.

·8 months agoCan you please confirm that you're registered to sell and signed up for managed payments ?
https://www.ebay.com.au/help/selling/getting-paid/registering-seller?id=4792&srsltid=AfmBOorjNFkHWvM7P7RrOFoBpugmkKrHmSO_2e02KinICW0LRy_Kka6X
If you're not, you won't be paid at all and I highly recommend you end your current (high priced) listing immediately as verification is not always straightforward.
If you are signed up and the item was posted, and as you've mentioned 30 days, it would come under this category of transaction holds.
High-priced items
For certain high-priced items, funds from the order will be placed on hold for 31 days after the transaction date to give the buyer enough time to report any issues after they've received and inspected the item.

If you're signed up and the item was picked up, did you follow all the directions re. QR code etc ?

Very occasionally, eBay will release payment earlier if an item's been picked up and the buyer's left feedback. You could try. Go to contact us at the bottom of the page in my previous link and on the right hand side you'll see the automated assistant. Ask to speak to a supervisor.
You have another very expensive item listed as pick up only. If you're already signed up, I recommend you add
"Cash on pick up preferred" to your current listing

·8 months agoYou agreed to the hold when you listed
It is how selling has worked on eBay for years
You have nothing to contact Fair Treading about
Read the user agreement
Read the box you ticked that said you had read and understood
Assuming you fully signed up for Managed Payments and were verified to sell before you listed, the 30 day hold on your funds will apply, as it does for every single new seller and every seller who has not sold in some time
As you say it has only been a week
You have at least 3 more weeks to wait
(As said, assuming you have done as required and signed up to Managed Payments and been verified to sell)
Plus it being a $6000 item from a brand new seller, there is very little chance of those funds being released early
Go to Fair Trading, they will tell you exactly the same thing
