Yes, it is a pain but you can check it out easily enough. It does take a few clicks though. Go click on a seller name/feedback score. That should take you to a summary page and keep clicking, you should have a section where you can click on 'about' but eventually if you persist you'll get to information about seller location.

I can get it done reasonably quickly these days.

Doesn't matter where the item is located, what you are after is seller location. It is a pity that info isn't in the actual ad. My guess is ebay knows very well it would be a turn off for some customers, all they want us to be looking at is the items. But their wishes are not our command, you can still check it out. I always do.

There is no filter on eBay to prevent Chinese sellers from listing on eBay Australia, or from appearing in search results when you specify Australia only.

eBay have specified “Australia only” in a different way to the way you or I or most people would specify it. That’s because eBay have bought into the concept of “just in time fulfilment”.

See my post here explaining in detail: https://community.ebay.com.au/t5/Buying/Sellers-lying-as-to-their-location-Why-hasn-t-ebay-done/m-p/2467647#M127021

    So long

If, after 15 years you don't know, and don't know how to overcome this, there is nothing other members can tell you

The projected delivery times on your example would indicate stock located in Australia. What was your question?

Because eBay looks at where the items are supposedly located rather than where the seller is registered.
