New free selling system - a few questions please

I have not sold on eBay for a few years.
This is mostly due to the cost.
Now that the new free selling thing has started I want to clarify a few things.
1. Do I have to use eBay postage labels? If so, are these considerably more expensive for the buyer than standard postage?
2. How long does it take to get paid? Is it within a day of the item arriving? How does this work?
3. Does eBay charge the buyer postage directly when they pay? Or does the buyer pay me for postage and I pay for the label?
I’m trying to decide if it’s worth the risk. Got burned once before selling and that is why I stopped

·2 months agoeBay branded flat rate packaging (satchels and padded mailers) is available from Australia Post.
Simply add the 15¢ - 25¢ cost to the item price... or add a handling fee... or absorb the cost. As you can see, how it's factored in is entirely up to the seller.

OP2 months agoThat answers some of that except how postage is paid.
For example, if I sell a $25 item with $15 postage and the eBay label is $12, do I get the $15 and then pay $12 for the label? And do I get charged and have to outlay postage but then wait until delivery to get it back?
Or does the buyer pay ebay the postage and I just print the label?
How do I factor in packing etc?
