Hello all.
Ever since I started selling on eBay, which was a long time ago, they would send an email when I sold something.
However, over the past few days, starting last Thursday, I stopped getting sold emails from them.
I was wondering if anyone else was having this problem, or was it just me?
Whilst I can still look up the details of sold items on my eBay sales record, the email from them was a useful reminder that something had just sold.

·2 years agoYep, me too, came here to see if others are having the same issue, also. I'm not getting daily alerts for items I'm looking at buying.

·2 years agoI presume this poster is referring to Saved Search emails. If so it's the same problem. As well as the emails concerning sales, I am not getting my Saved Searches emails either. Anything that comes direct from eBay apparently.

·2 years agoMine returned to normal around 7pm last night. Offer emails, sold, paid for, saved searches, refunds. Hopefully the same for everyone else.

·2 years agoI have had a large store on ebay for many years and the same thing has happened to me for the last 7 days. I am not getting notifications any more when an item is sold and/or paid for, when I get an offer, confirmation email when I list an item etc. I am only getting emails I receive are if a seller asks a question. Although I can check on my ebay app or desk top, it is extremely frustrating. I have done the on-line chat with an ebay consultant (can't seem to talk to anyone) and they have confirmed all my settings and email address is correct and so assured me the problem is solved. It is definitely not. I have asked if a technician can sort the problem as I know it's not just me - as another family member at a different address has the same issue. I just wish you could speak to someone as in early days. It's making me want to close my account as I am continually frustrated.

·2 years agoReally, with the number of sales you have, a 2 second check of your sales page every now and than would not create to much hassle. Yes it is an inconvenience, but to close what looks like a reasonable store because of it?

·2 years agoFor anyone not affected, it would seem like a small inconvenience. For those affected, it is very VERY annoying. Normally I would receive an incoming email notification, and check to see if it related to eBay. Now during waking hours I check My Orders hourly. And My Messages – for offers received, which are time sensitive. And for Combined Invoice requests (else buyers get cranky), and for copies of invoices sent when I tick “email me” (to prove to buyers that I did send a combined invoice when they can’t find it.) And for anything else that comes direct from eBay – Payout Sent, Refund started, Refund Completed; “Your valid tracking performance is 100%.” Saved Searches.
The only thing that does still work is direct member to member messages. Thank goodness. I can certainly understand the frustration of others.

·2 years agoJust an FYI, I am impacted this time around. And yes I was wrong it didnt take 2 seconds, it took the whole of 4 seconds to check each of my accounts, which I did a couple of times during the day. No grumpy customers on my part, all happy and smiley and willing to wait a few minutes. I guess I look at it we are not at the beck and call of our customers, if they arent happy with my schedule I dont want them as clients. I just answered a couple about half an hour ago, and already have their money in my Ebay account. I wont get it till monday or tuesday, so there was no rush.

I think I am the opposite and like to live to work. I have the option of not working and taking a pension but like most people work is a good way to keep busy.

·2 years agoThe problem should rectify itself in time. Most likely an update has gone out to email inbox spam filters with directives to block eBay's emails, either by keywords combination in the subjects or content, or originating IP address or someone sending emails pretending to be eBay has caused it, etc.
If you use Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo Mail, etc, then you'll have to wait for the blacklist to be updated and an update to be issued and the fix installed.

Certainly with Gmail, you check your spam folder, mark as not spam. For me that generally fixes the issue.

·2 years agoFor today add "Not getting requests for combined purchases" - have to find them in My Messages. Am getting normal messages though. Just nothing related to sales. Weird.

·2 years agoI had the same problem which lasted for several weeks. I didn't get any notifications at all from eBay and only discovered that I had sold something which had been paid for when I thought to check my sold items. After a period of time the notifications started appearing again. I couldn't find any solutions on eBay forums and I don't know whether I fixedthe problem myself when fiddling with Thunderbird or my ISP. My ISP told me that it was an eBay problem.

·2 years agoIt will be annoying if it lasts for several weeks. Not getting Saved Search notifications either. Or Payout Sent notices. Happening on PC Windows 10 Thunderbird; laptop Outlook; and iPhone. Provider Telstra. Pretty sure it is not me. Feels like it is anything generated direct from eBay, while member to member messages, questions are still getting through.

I don't know if it is the 'same issue' back again, or the same issue ongoing, or not related at all
