Out of body experience - I think I died early Friday morning

I told a buyer that I was sorry but I have had mental problems the past week and I also ended up in hospital on Friday morning. She is like, okay I hope I get the watch by 7 April for my daughter's birthday. She didn't care at all. If this nasty man replies to my post, I am willing to confront you and fight because I do not care at all.

OP1 year agoWow, some of the people who responded need to see my hospital records, for Sunday night and for early Friday morning. Thanks a bunch. I sent the watch today for your information. It was free postage and sent by Sendle. I didn't pay for any postage myself. I don't have an eBay store, I just wanted to sell a Tissot watch that reminded me of a toxic workplace that I used to work at. Sorry for making this post.

·1 year agoI'm please it worked out for you.
Having had serious health issues, myself, I completely understand that if you're suddenly taken to hospital you lose complete control over what's going on on ebay, including ending all listings or holiday mode.
Hope you get well soon.

The majority of posters here have said they hope you get well soon.
I do too.
But there is one other thing to consider.
We know you're honest but not all buyers and sellers are.
In light of how many buyers come to the boards seemingly not knowing about eBay's Money Back
Guarantee, the buyer may have thought you were making up your story and they'd possibly lost $300
which is a lot of money to lose.

Good luck with Sendle.

·1 year agoI hope you get well soon. People have expectations of sellers and some are more understanding than others when a problem arises. Sounds like you got someone who isn't that considerate or understanding. They may also be feeling pressure / stress having bought something at short notice to try and make it in time for their birthday (this happens to us all!), which may explain their attitude.

·1 year agoI'm just not sure any of that comes into selling.
When listing you are under obligation to make sure the buyer has the experience they expect.
Seller's health does not come into anything - if not able to fulfill your obligation - cancel listings - go on holiday - whatever - but don't expect any buyer to take excuses.
Having said this - I hope you are well soon.

·1 year agoIf you're not in capacity to meet that buyer's reasonable postage timing, refund the buyer and close your eBay store for holiday. Once you're ready, open it again and commit on postage time you've set.
Hope you get better soon.

·1 year agoWhile you may be genuine and truthful in what you are saying, the buyer has no way of knowing if you are just making up excuses. I had a purchase recently, they quoted they would post in a day. Two weeks later, still not posted. When I inquired, it was the fault of the Post Office for having a holiday. A week later, item still not sent now they claimed to be in hospital. After that, it was their Mother who was terminal. Yeah right! We Buyers have heard it all before and have no sympathy because it sounds like a lot of lame excuses. I don't think there are many legitimate excuses for not sending the item. If I was in hospital I would get someone else to send it for me. People you deal with on eBay, whether it be buyers or sellers, are not interested in your personal problems, and even to mention them as excuses for not carrying out your obligations, just sounds like lame excuses.

·1 year agoSeek help... but first ship the watch to the buyer... you've had 10 days to do so.
