They generally read from a script but when you go to eBay Help and when you get to the automated assistant, ask to speak to an agent

·6 months agoWhy do you not have a tracking number?
The kinds of items in your completed items page could not be posted without one
And *if* you always fail to load tracking (or usually fail to load tracking)
*Could* be why *if* you do not usually upload tracking
Transaction holds | eBay
A seller who doesn't consistently upload tracking
To help ensure buyers receive valid tracking details, we monitor how many of a seller's orders have tracking uploaded after a tracked delivery service was selected. Sellers who have a valid tracking performance of less than 95% may have funds from their orders placed on hold until a tracking scan from the carrier shows that the item is on its way to the buyer. If no valid tracking is uploaded, funds will be held until 3 days after the latest estimated delivery date has passed.
How long has it been on hold?
Did you receive you other payments without issues/holds after a long break from selling?
If you want an eBay response (which will be from a pre-written script) go to eBay Help and type speak to an agent in the chatbot

OP6 months agoTracking was washed in the washing machine but I don't no longer need one when the buyer has already left a positive feedback

·6 months agoYou might not need one but as you say, it's all automated and eBay does 'need' one to be uploaded
(or it expects tracking to uploaded in any case)
Look at it this way, with no tracking to prove it was delivered a buyer can still open an item not received dispute and turn around an say 'oops, I left feedback for the wrong seller'
Not saying your buyer would do that, but there are those who would do that, and with no proof of delivery, eBay would take they buyer's word for it
It's happened to sellers before

OP6 months agoAs said, who now needs a tracking number (washed as below) when the buyer has already given me positive feedback. The fecking problem with Ebay is that you can't speak to a human being.
sandypebbles
·6 months agoAnd you have now been answered why
You can speak to a human, and you have been advised how to
And again the human will be typing from a pre-written script and will be about as useful as the bot
The human is not actually looking at/into a thing
They will tell you they are to get rid of you, but they won't be

·6 months agoThe first and foremost requirement for ebay to release funds early, is the need for the seller to provide proof of delivery IE: (tracking - which also shows if an item was shipped within handling time along with shipping and delivery destinations).
Once you can provide proof of delivery, you will also need positive feedback, before ebay at there discretion, may release funds early, upon request.
Note +FB , does not amount to, or negate the need for proof of delivery.

·6 months agowho now needs a tracking number
eBay, as you have found out.
Maybe be a bit proactive, or failing that, upload tracking before you do your washing. Or look on your computer where the tracking details should be available.

·6 months agoYou haven't sold for a long time so eBay will treat you as a new seller.
Are you registered to sell and signed up for managed payments ?
https://www.ebay.com.au/help/selling/getting-paid/registering-seller?id=4792&srsltid=AfmBOoowZfYLnoF...
And your payment may be on hold for 14-30 days

·6 months agoI thought that at first look too, casey but the feedback isn't showing 'in order' as it should be and there are as it turns out, several feedback from the last month way down the page

·6 months agoIt may be a glitch then because for me, looking at feedback received as a seller, most recent, page set to 200, it shows one feedback received in the last month and the rest as more than a year ago

·6 months agoYep, a glitch for sure
I just had another look and I click on received as a seller, I didn't notice before but the page instantly gave a little flash and reverted to all feedback 🙄
Typical eBay nonsense
