So i just got back to top rated seller status and it said i hadn't set a handling time, which was auto set to 3 days but most items are sent next working day or within a 24 hour window on average, so i get my items out quick and the hold seems inconsequential to me atm, but why is it even happening and without eBay messaging me about it, or me being able to actually contact an agent on the weekend. Like what gives? I'll ask eBay tomorrow but it feels completely ridiculous it just happened without warning or any cause given, especially as it shouldn't be happening anyway.

OP4 months agoUpdate: called eBay and they said it was because I have a higher than normal INR because I had 4 INRs out of 120 sales from 2025, but no issues since. Those were all resolved btw and all large letters, but eBay said they'll contact higher ups and get it sorted. If i made more sales that INR would hsve gone down btw and i have 86 transactions now from the last 90 days. Chat were useless so please call them if you have an issue like this.

Then again, all staff read from the same scripts and we have all heard the 'they will raise it with higher ups' line more times than Santa has gone down chimneys

·4 months agoeBay agents are available 7 days a week. In fact, I personally dealt with 3 different agents (for various reasons) today, without any difficulties at all. Admittedly, I did have to wait for around 40 seconds or so for them to join the chat.
Surely your weekends are part of those 7 days of the week, are they not? If so, what exactly seems to be your issue with contacting an agent on the weekend?
Edit: BTW, the time you posted here is outside of chat hours anyway - regardless of which day of the week it is

OP4 months agoI did believe me i damn well tried and I kept getting errors. I just spoke to one and he told me "it's just eBay policy". That's a crock of BS. I'm gonna try a few more times till i actually get the right answers cause this is beyond a joke and shouldn't be happening.

·4 months agoGood luck I spent half a day in chat and an hour on the phone and still could not get an answer for a similar issue. Kept getting told I need to send everything tracked and preferably with ebay labels or they can not verify delivery. This is despite ebays own policy stating:
Holds won't apply to orders where the selected delivery option was local pickup or one of following services:
Also interesting ebays updated terms coming the end of april that mandate ebay postage for everything actually have an exemption for magazines, comics trading cards coins and orders under $20 value.
It very much appears a case of the left hand not knowing what the right hand is doing.

The cause of the OP's here's holds is not going to be the reason yours are on hold ,which was explained to you on your post, with a link to the policy but you chose to ignore
