    Re-invoicing buyer

Summary: The discussion is about the topic of re-invoicing buyers, initiated by toomuchstuff88. However, the individual contributions of participants including curraone, davewil1964, domino-710, sandypebbles, springyzone, *casey*, and twyngwyn are not specified in terms of content. Therefore, the context or specific issues related to re-invoicing buyers remain unclear from the discussion's available information.

I sold an item and it was delivered but the buyer didn't collect.  Item was returned to me and now the buyer wants me to post it again.  So I need to re-invoice the buyer for postage - is this possible please?

    Stuff happens, sometimes unexpectedly.

It's very  hard to get sales in used clothing etc these days.

You have a buyer and you've been paid.

As long as the buyer's happy to pay for postage again, I'd post  it to the buyer

I think I'd be inclined to do as others suggested and just  finish this transaction off with a refund less postage and fees.

You say the buyer wants you to repost but you don't say if the buyer expects to pay full postage again. He might very well be expecting you to just re-post it somehow as is, with no additional cost. Some buyers don't have a clue so you can't assume anything.

Just cleanly finish this transaction and relist. Whether you block the buyer or not is up to you, depends on whether they had a decent reason for not picking up the first time. If not, then they could be trouble and safer blocking.

Personally, I would refund less postage and fees and block them.

They couldn't bother to collect the first time, so why expect they would the second time?

Even if it was extreme circumstances - someone could have collected for the buyer.

    I'm with Dave.

    Totally agree

If the shoe was on the other foot and the seller was somehow unable to get to the post office, or get someone to do it for them, guaranteed the buyer would be opening a dispute quick smart

They've messed you around once, OP, don't give them the chance to do the same thing again

And if they neg you in the meantime, contact eBay and explain they refused to collect the item

you could create a special listing .... "special listing for xxx"   for the postage amount;  let the  buyer know the item number.
