Hi
Wondering if others have found instances of ebay's link to Australia Post tracking system had failed.
Has happened twice in recent times and once last year.
This has not bothered me much until today when I received an email warning that I had slipped below the 95% threshold. Selling has been slow of late.
I usually regularly check how posted items have been travelling but have been away over the past few weeks.

·1 year agoyes. I had the same issue. posted a week or so ago. I called the helpdesk and they referred the matter to their IT team.

·1 year agoI’ve had 3 items in last month which have been delivered successfully with Aust Post but they did not scan events.
Ebay now holds payments as a result.

·1 year agoEven if you had the item scanned over the counter at the post office, eBay would still put a hold on your funds because it sees you as a "new seller".

Your funds are on hold because eBay see you as a 'new' seller
It does not matter how much you sold a year or more ago
And it has been that way for quite some time
More scans would not have changed that

·1 year agoDon't be surprised if it's not AP not updating the tracking. It happens often I've found, unfortunately.

Are you saying that: you have uploaded tracking, but the system has not recorded it?
padraicpaul91
OP1 year agoHi. I upload tracking info but then the ebay system does not provide transit information.
This is when I have sought this info from the AP system. In each case the item had been delivered but ebay was a blank.

·1 year agoI've always found the ebay system is a bit behind, and like you, on the odd occasion, it never catches up / shows delivered.
If there's a problem with the buyer. The AP website will show that it's been delivered.

Unless there's an issue (which you can confirm it isn't), don't sweat the small stuff.
Personally, I have no idea whether or not eBay update tracking. I don't waste my time checking irrelevancies. On the off chance a buyer claims not delivered (never happened) I have proof of lodgement - the relevant metric.

·1 year agoIrrelevancy? read the OP again. he is on payment hold because of this 'irrelevancy'.
Sellers are measured on tracking compliance. The issue at hand is valid tracking is being uploaded but the ebay API link to the Auspost system is broken and it shows the tracking number as invalid. Checking on the AP website shows the tracking is legit.
