Return delivered to wrong address, now it's up to me to sort out with Australia Post | Selling

Had a buyer return an item, change of mind. I received a notification saying the return had been delivered but I didn't receive it and wasn't home at the time the tracking say delivered. It was a signature required delivery due to the high value. I contacted Ebay and told them and also lodged an inquiry with Australia Post. Today I received an email from Aust Post saying that they delivered the item to the wrong address but were unable to retrieve the item. I contacted Ebay with this information and they had me send them a copy of the email from Aust Post. Ebay says that now it's up to me to have Aust Post resolve the matter. I explained that as per the email from them, they were unable to retrieve the package. But Ebay is saying that I just have to do whatever I can, which makes no sense because Aust Post have clearly stated there's nothing they can do. Thoughts?
