Ok, so what is with eBay taking to promoting car parts on fashion pages? Right at the top of my page 'see sellers other items' is this ridiculous banner promoting vehicle parts. I have messaged and talked with them several times and even at their own admission have had numerous complaints from other clothing sellers and have also said to me this is inappropriate. AND YET they refuse to remove it! How would car part sellers like to have dresses, shoes and other clothing items on their page that says 'FIND THE GARMENT THAT FITS' (I don't think so) this has gone beyond reasonable cross promoting.

OP1 year agoooohhh, that sounds fun and much better than what ebay have come up with to promote car parts in clothing category 🙂

·1 year agoI'm pretty sure ebay asked me to name the make of the vehicle, or some such bizarre option, when I was looking at shoes. I just thought "ebay is a bunch of **bleep**ers" (if bleep is inserted, rhymes with bankers) and moved on.

·1 year agoNah.
I get this on every page I look at - I just don't have a Mazda - a CX 5 would be great.

·1 year agoHi stawks, I have been trying to generate the see parts message that you and the OP are seeing, no success yet.
Interestingly you see Your vehicle as a Mazda CX-5. Wasn't that the vehicle of choice for a certain scammer who was always being deployed somewhere.
Just wondering if you saved or somehow generated something, when checking out the numerous scams.

·1 year agoYou need to think of eBay as a shopping mall. You are paying a fee/commission to host on eBay's platform & what they do around your listing is up to them (which you would would have agreed to in the T&Cs)
Like a shopping mall, a buyer may walk past many other stores before arriving at your store. There may be other clothing shops and even a car parts retailer. You cannot control what other stores sell/advertise etc (just like eBay).
I'd be happy if the other items shown were of no relevance to what I was selling (better than showing other sellers exact same item at a lower price)

OP1 year agoFair point here.

·1 year agoMe again......................................................... so ignoring the spare parts ad would be a fair point?

OP1 year agommmmm, you have too much time on your hands and nothing else! 🙂 Good bye!!!!!

·1 year agoWe certainly hope so.
Third world problem.
You seem to be far more a seller than a buyer.
As stawks said, why not ignore a single line?
You could have ignored a lot of lines in the time you took to post on the boards.

OP1 year agoNope! that was not in reply to your way old reply....daahhhh!!!!!

·1 year agoIn your case it would be 'doh!'
Why are you spending your time in attacking other members when we have no control of how eBay works?
You're not exactly a newbie.

I wonder if you actually know what R2R was referring to.

·1 year agoI get it too, and it doesn't matter what category I'm looking at.
Just ignore - it's not hard to do.

OP1 year agoWhy should I ignore when I pay for a store, pay a lot of seller fees and it has nothing to do with what I sell! Guessing you are a dude who does not have a store! So I'll ignore your comment 🙂
imastawka
·1 year agoWrong on both counts.
But I'm devastated that you're going to ignore me.
How will I get over this snub?
Woe is me. 😲
