Seller protection is a joke I'm sure, it just sucks us in to the eBay story.
Seller protection is a joke I'm sure, it just sucks us in to the eBay story.
We ship an item internationally and at this time of the year it is sitting in customs awaiting clearance.
The buyer lodges a claim as not delivered and within 48 hours eBay refunds them.
EBay and the buyer couldn't care less that it is sitting in customs awaiting clearance for a week.
I always laugh when the buyer demands we lodge it with Australia post as quick as possible.
Yet they don't pay for express postage or even FedEx priority which we offer.
They pick standard international post in December.
More fool me I guess for believing eBay has any respect for the sellers.

·9 months agoI get it, here is what I do and it hasn't failed once with charge backs.
Sellers are not postage services.
Your resposibility is to post the item, not deliver the item.
Their responsibility is to pay for an appropiate postal service, they pay for traking they get tracking, they pay for untracked they get untracked.
I take a video of the posting of the letter going into the post box.
When they make a claim of item not received they get a video of the posting.
If they win on an item not received I APPEAL on the basis that a video was supplied showing posting took place with the postage they selected at checkout.
I haven't lost yet.
