Hi all, I am wondering if there are any swap card sellers having trouble selling their cards since the new year?does anyone know what has happened?

·3 years agoI couldn't see any swap cards listed? I saw mainly vintage salt and pepper shakers?
I'm a buyer but my take on lower sales would be that in January, people were taking a breather after the expense of Christmas and by February, it is back to school time for children so that can be another hit on the bank account. Add to that the hike in interest rates and prices generally and maybe there is not as much spare money around.
Plus-and this is just a personal observation, I have no stats to prove it-I think collectables wane in and out of fashion a bit. Vintage anything doesn't necessarily appeal to a lot of the young ones these days, so your items won't appeal to everyone, just a more specialised group. And I guess it could be like stamps-some are more coveted than others.

Trading cards and Sports cards are a whole other 'animal' to Swap Cards.
Trading/Sports cards have their own category.
Swap Cards haven't even been given their own category yet - who knows why?
They're just listed under Paper, Postcards.

·3 years agoSorry and am not trying to be smart but what you have listed at present are a long way from swap cards.
If you dont list you have no hope at all.
Am with sandypebbles with the priorities at present. Money is tight everywhere at the moment and unfortunately some of our wants and fancies just have to go by the wayside,

·3 years agoIt's up and down in the swap card world atm.
It seems you have only listed and sold 2 swap card items since the New Year - unless you sell on another ID.
It also helps to sell what buyers are looking for - whatever that may be.
Some swap card sellers don't seem to have trouble with sales apparently.

·3 years agoAt a guess, the non stop cost of living increase week after week are not leaving too many people with money to spend on hobbies
Up until last week, I had to keep deciding between buying food for myself or new glasses
Finally had to choose glasses over food when I could no longer see to read
I'd be far from the only one with such choices to make
Buying swap cards would be very very very far from my mind
