Sendle (Couriers Please) are the absolute stand out in utterly inferior performance.
On two occasions in the last fortnight they have absolutely failed to deliver and their drivers have been proven to be pathological liars.
On 31 March an item was supposed to have been delivered to my business address but the driver recorded on the tracking that our business was "permanently closed". I was onto this within an hour and provided them CCTV footage of the van pulling in, the driver never getting out, me walking past the front of the van (and waving to the driver) as I walked past to speak to a customer and was promised redelivery which also appeared on the tracking. Incredibly, the following day, the tracking had reverted to the business being permanently closed and the item had been returned to sender. The sender received the item back on 15 April and it had been completely destroyed in transit and Sendle categorically refuse to do anything about it.
Second parcel was due to arrive so I pre-emptively contacted Sendle to avoid the complete farce of the first parcel but I may as well have saved my time. Received an email at 5:24 PM on 15 April (yesterday) to advise my parcel was on board for delivery that day. I contacted them immediately (around 4-5 minutes later) and was told the driver had tried to deliver at 8:24 AM but that the business was closed; back to the CCTV footage which proved the business was well and truly open and a van hadn't even done a drive-by. There had been ZERO on the tracking to suggest that the item was out for delivery when I left work at 5:00pm. Today they're at a loss to explain what went wrong and their communications are full of platitudes and completely unhelpful "assurances" that they care but they still absolutely refuse to offer any sort of service or delivery updates.
The first, destroyed, parcel they absolutely refuse to provide compensation for and now they've mis-delivered the second parcel and haven't the vaguest interest in actually doing anything constructive about resolving the issue.

·1 year agoI admit I have used Sendle a few times probably around 5% of my sales and so far so good but prefer to use Australia Post as much as possible even if they are a little more expensive as I always worry if something goes wrong trying to get it sorted through Sendle is too difficult and your feedback reinforces my thoughts. I think I'll just stick to Australia Post now for piece of mind.

·1 year agoAP is always possible. They deliver to the entire country, unlike couriers.

·1 year agoYes, I have read many complaints about them.
I think some of it depends on who the delivery driver is in your area.
I had a problem with a parcel delivery a couple of years back & it took a lot of phone calls before they fixed it. I think they sub contracted out the delivery to another company and it took a lot of work to make them liaise with that other company.
Sometimes customers don't have a big choice in who the seller uses for delivery and can't get it changed even if they would like to.
My son recently bought a couple of small boxes of beer. He had them delivered here to my house because Couriers please was going to charge him $50 for delivery to his home (in metro Melbourne) and only $11 for delivery to me (also metro Melbourne, not far away from him.)

·1 year agoI have bought two packages recently, sent via Sendle, one posted from Adelaide to Brisbane, took 7 business days and one from England was supposed to take a month but when I hadn’t received it at the 6 week mark I asked for a refund and got it, they said there were not able to track it.
I only send via Australia Post now and get a tracking number.

Good to see your buying experiences have modified your selling behavior.

·1 year agoWe are well aware of their reputation, thank you
The question is, given the many, many, many, many complaints on this forum alone about them, why choose to use them anyway, and then start your own thread to complain about them?
People are as likely to take notice of yours as you did of any of the countless already on here

·1 year agoAfter your first bad experience, why on Earth would you even contemplate giving them another go? Generally, people learn from their mistakes - treat this as a lesson and don't make the same mistakes again.
