I have a buyer who has made an offer on 3 items and I would like it set up so only she can bid. Is this possible.

·1 year agoA very random gazumping scallywag…? Junior scallywag not back at school and looking for mischief? 😁

·1 year agoIt would be frustrating if there were a gazumping scallywag waiting in the wings.

·1 year agoLOL - what ' gazumping scallywag ' would want all three random items.

·1 year agoI set them up as a single listing for BIN with best offer. The listing price is outrageous, to prevent gazumping. The selected buyer offers the agreed amount, I accept.
There is no way auctions come into it. Auctions are for when you don't know what the item will sell for.

·1 year agoWho would ' gazump ' - if the listing stated ' Reserved for ...insert user name.... - with the agreed price + postage.
Let them know - they usually keep a look out - having discussed it.
Easy.

·1 year agoAnybody looking for a deal. A BIN is available to any buyer.
I have discussed it, and it works for me and my buyers.
My listing don't state 'reserved for...', as, in my experience, this is a magnet for the intellectually challenged. Or trolls.
My way negates those risks.

·1 year agoI have done this many times, I just keep it simple. BIN for agreed price and postage. I title it Special listing for XYZ, add just one photo - the least informative I can find, and in the description write "This is a Special Listing for XYZ as agreed." Send the buyer the item number / link to the listing. Perhaps I have been lucky but I have never attracted anybody but the intended buyer. It is necessary to carefully explain the procedure if your buyer is not an experienced eBayer.

·1 year agoI've used dave's method with 100% success.
I always let the buyer know to ignore the outrageous Buy-Now price and make an offer at the agreed amount and that that offer will be accepted.
If the listing was Buy-Now for the agreed amount and the buyer is 'away' from eBay for a few days the item may be snapped up by someone else.

·1 year agoProbably we are looking at a different buyer base. I think I would have more difficulty explaining that something we had agreed as being $100? was being advertised for $600 (of course, Make an Offer!)
Frankly I wouldn’t see why anyone would buy something with no information in the title, none in the description and one uninformative photo (which is how I list it) – but if it happened the sale could just be cancelled.
As for the prospective buyer being “away” for a few days, I always stipulate that the listing is only live for 48 hours, if not bought in that time I will assume the buyer has changed their mind, which is of course perfectly fine. I have always found that if they are keen enough to keep in touch while the process is explained to them, they will buy almost immediately.

·1 year agoSet it up as ' buy it now ' - why auction so she can only bid.

·1 year agoOH - add your descriptions to the BIN - and your photos.
Don't want you coming back with - hey 3 items not as described.

·1 year agoIt sure is...
Just create a listing with the title "Private listing for username" for the agreed price and put the 3 items in the description, add the postage and send the item number to your buyer... and you're done.
