Frustration with lack of immediate funds or because of very slow payment isn’t unique to being or not being a seller on eBay.
Knowledge of eBay’s policies lets me offer advice on these boards without spouting rubbish or self-defeating inaccuracies, though. (New sellers who haven't kept up with the policy changes continue to express astonishment with the Managed Payments changes!) I’m glad that I can help (when and if I can); in the past I received help from others on the boards, for which I will always be extremely grateful.

This is always pointed out by experienced sellers here - on this board - and advice given on how to validate one's SELLING account - if not already achieved.

Yes countessalmirena in answer to your two questions regarding ID and bank account being validated. Those requirements has both been approved by eBay. Regarding the hold on 'new' sellers, I haven't used eBay for qhite a while for either buying or selling. Thank you for your time
The money will be transferred to your bank account on the nominated date in your seller hub.
Since you confirm that everything has been validated, there should be no further issues, other than simply waiting for the due date to roll around. Just bear in mind that once the transfer has been made, it may take several business days to show up in your bank, depending on who you are with.
Did anyone else notice that he's listed it as being "opened - never used", but then in the description he said he tried it out, but it wasn't what he wanted? That to me is NOT "never used", which is why the buyers may has dipped out.
To the OP, I didn't realise Muso's Cnr was still there! I left Newcastle in 1998 and it was huge back then. Great to see it's still in business, given the CBD is rapidly dying.
I would disagree that Newcastle CBD is rapidly dying and was surprised how much development is going on in the area.
That's good to hear. I haven't ventured into town for many years when I go home, because I have no need to. Last time I was there, it was like a ghost town with so many empty shops. Glad to hear it's making a big comeback. That makes me happy, because it was always a great city.

Occasionally sold items are apparently relisted without the seller's intervention. Is this your problem by any chance? Was the item relisted without your intervention and somebody else wants to buy it?
I thought maybe that, but they have no current listings and the item they 'sold' twice (after they listed it twice) has a blurb on it they re-listed it due to the first buyer not paying
Not sure if they 'reported it as unpaid' or not
As I say, hard to know anything when we get zero information but are still expected to give the help they are satisfied with
It is now the 8th Jan 2023 ,my item was sold on the 15th Dec 2022 and paid for by the buyer ( who received the item, and described it as being in pristine condition). However eBay has put the payment to me ON HOLD till 16th Jan 2023. WHY IS THIS SO?

It’s frustrating, I know… but if you are able to sell regularly so that you’re no longer considered a new seller, the hold will no longer be implemented.
(Bear in mind that if you take a selling hiatus of a few months, eBay will again see you as a “new seller”. So… try to sell consistently if you can.)

I have since read both ads.
Personally, I don't think the fact that rossurf says he bought it, tried it out, repacked it as he decided it wasn't right for him, would turn a buyer off. It doesn't say the item is brand new in the title, it just says he bought it new. If I were after one of these and saw one like this, which is basically a demo model, used once, I'd jump at the chance to buy it if the price was quite a bit under new price.
Rossurf, I think the person who bought it from the second auction is a person who also made a bid for it in the first. On my computer, it is showing that someone ID n***s (160) bid $320 for it back on 8th Dec.
They didn't win, the winning bid was 3 more bidders on, for $345.
When I click on the ID n***s(160), it shows me c***a(160)
My computer is showing the new buyer as 4***5(160) this time, but if I click on the ID it reverts to c***a(160), who has 100% bidding history for your items in the month of Dec. This isn't suspicious at all, it is just ebay jumbling up the letters & numbers so only the seller can identify the actual winner. To all of us, they remain anonymous.
But I believe this is the same bidder.
What you could have done, after that winning bidder refused to pay, was make an offer to the second highest bidder, who had bid $340. There is no guarantee they would then have bought it as in the meantime they may have bought elsewhere or changed their mind.
If they didn't want it, you could have offered to the third highest bidder. Same deal.
You should also have reported that first bidder for not paying. Made an ebay claim for a refund of fees on that basis. You may still be able to do so on the first ad so if there is time, I would try to. Check it out.
But you know what, I think the new winner is a serious buyer. I'd be pretty sure of it. They bid on that first auction, they wanted it, they weren't prepared to pay more than that though, so they didn't win. This time they bid as soon as it came back up on offer. They will additionally be chuffed they got it at slightly under their first bid. They will pay up, I am pretty sure of it.
Stick with it, it doesn't matter what your first auction raised as the buyer was not serious anyway. It doesn't matter if some of the other bidders have come across it and saying hey, I wanted to buy that. You've sold it, take the $300, post the item. Report that first auction winner though for non payment and see if you can get your fees back.

It also indicates that are not aware eBay considers them a new seller, (since their last feedback as a seller was over a year ago) hence the hold on their funds

But I just noticed something else and it has me confused.(easy to do)
When I looked up rossurf's completed listings, it only showed the item had been listed twice.
First time it sold at $345 on Dec 10th after several bids, but then I saw it was listed again with a note the previous buyer did not pay.
The winner second time round was a person with 160 feedback score. That auction ended 25 Dec.
However, I went to look at feedback given to rossurf as a seller and lo and behold, I see someone has thanked him for this exact same item. The buyer giving feedback was someone who bought in auction ending 16 Dec 2022 and name of buyer was o***o(188) so obviously not the buyer who bought it in the auction ending 25 Dec.
Rossurf says himself in the feedback he left that the item was picked up about 16 Dec.
I am not altogther surprised that rossurf is finding 'other buyers' want to buy it. I imagine that bidder who won the auction on 25 Dec is wondering why he can't have it. As I said earlier, it was someone who had previously bid on the first auction, so probably keen.
I am darned if I know what has gone on as I am pretty sure rosssurf would not have intentionally relisted it after it sold.
Rossurf, you'll need to message any other potential buyer that it has been sold. You may especially need to contact the winner of the 25 Dec auction and explain there has been a mix up, you're sorry, but the item has already sold. Then contact ebay chat. Try to sort out what has happened if you did not relist it that third time. You'll definitely need to make contact as I think otherwise you'll be paying a heap of ebay fees maybe 3 times.
Maybe someone else will have a better idea what happeend but that is all I can make out.

You only had a title in your opening post with scant details.
You did receive replies here, but not from eBay, just from other members.
You sold an item. If it has been paid for you send the item. End of story.
If other members contact you post sale expressing interest in the SOLD item then too bad for them.
You have been given answers by other members, despite you posting a comment in the heading and giving no details as to the specifics of your question
And other members can only give help/advice if you actually ask a question, which you did'nt
So we can only 'guess' what you might mean and have given you as much help as we can
If you sold it nobody else can buy it
It should no longer be listed for sale so nobody else can buy it
If other people are sending you 'offers' ignore them, the item is sold
If it sold for less than you wanted, and other people are messaging offering more money, no, you have to sell it at the price it sold for you put on the listing

You left feedback for the buyer that wasn't meant for them. Ebay aren't going to read your feedback unless it's reported. If it's reported and removed, you get a slap.
As mentioned, you are considered as a new seller, so your funds are on hold for 30 days. Nothing you can do about it.
Given you put your email out there into the cyber world for all to see, I'd be very careful of any emails you receive, because you're going to get yourself scammed. Personally, I'd be self reporting that feedback you left for the buyer and ask ebay to remove it.

Has your bank account been validated as required?
Are you aware of eBay’s hold on payments for “new” sellers? (That includes casual sellers or sellers who’ve not sold for a while.)

And feedback left both ways, so obviously not a feedback for the non payer (unless non payer is again on hold money ?????)
Was scratching my noggin trying to work out how that worked out
Still have'nt gotten out the splinters nor worked it out
