Standard letter untracked option is missing.
So I can not now offer a cheap Standard letter untracked option in my postage methods. It was there until yesterday, now gone. Who would want to purchase a $1.50 2 cent coin and have to pay $9.70 to get it posted. It's only nickel-and-dime stuff but with excessive postage is nothing-and-gone. Is this only happening to me or has this become the latest eBay policy?

OP2 years agoHi All thanks for responses. Solved a while ago. I had the incorrect dimensions and weight listed, so the untracked envelope would not show.
Cheers

·3 years agoSolved. As siddieswans pointed out, it is all to do with setting the dimensions of your posted article. If the default thickness is not reduced from 5cm to 2cm or less, the Australia Post Standard Domestic Letter Untracked option is not visible. Aside from this, after having to refund a buyer recently for non arrival of an untracked delivery, I now send everything that fits by Australia Post Standard Domestic Letter Tracked.
Thanks to all who responded.

·2 years agoI'm a bit late to the party with this question. I have recently started selling greeting cards on eBay and the “Australia Post Standard Domestic Letter untracked” comes up as an option. How did you change it to Australia Post Standard Domestic Letter Tracked? Or did you just do that directly through the post office (not via eBay) and provide the customer with tracking number?

·2 years agoIf you are using flat postage, as you should be if you're sending as letters, there is an option next to the postage method to change service. Do so.
If it doesn't work first time, reload the listing page.

·3 years agoI am also having this trouble, I keep hearing people saying to select domestic regular letter untracked and post for $2.50 but I cannot seem to find this option when I am listing. Have you managed to figure this out ?
curraone
·3 years agoJust choose domestic letter without tracking (sometimes the option is not visible, but keep trying)

·2 years agoI really hope it’s not something they are trying to phase out x

·3 years agoIn Package Dimensions is the thickness set to 2 cms? If the thickness is greater than this Letter Rate options won't be visible.

·3 years agoYour listings all seem to have postage sorted, so I'm guessing advertising.

·3 years agoI see that some of your listings now have $2.50 but "standard parcel". This is not a good idea, parcels are expected to have tracking. You really need to change them to "letter untracked".

·3 years agoThat's news to me, all sent tracked. And I've never charged $2.50.
But thanks for caring

Who most certainly does have $2.50 on several items

·3 years agoYou're right - the letter options are gone. Means a call to ebay, I'm afraid.

·2 years agoIt must have been. You took FOUR months to get over it and post a meaningless reply.

·3 years agoYou can buy prepaid tracked envelopes over the counter for $3.15. I wouldnt send anything untracked even if its only a 2 cent coin
curraone
·3 years agoI disagree. Plenty of small items are still sent by letters, untracked.
sugar249
·3 years agoNot sure how you can disagree, I said ""I wouldnt send anything untracked"", which I don't. Fact.
curraone
·3 years agoSugar, well I could have said "it is not helpful to say 'You can buy prepaid tracked envelopes over the counter for $3.15' when the original poster is saying that he has a problem choosing letter (either tracked or untracked) in his postage options" but I didn't.

OP3 years agoObvious to me that eBay's automated monitoring of my sales shows that I don't use their preferred options for delivery. They are missing out on their cut.
So I resort to calling my postage method Standard Parcel Delivery and charge $1.50 or $6.00 registered.
Problem resolved. Thanks to those who gave meaningful advice.

·3 years agoYou have to be careful using that option if you dont upload a tracking number as it will only allow so many before it lowers your percentage and your listing ranking will suffer. If you use untracked delivery the listing needs to state this or it will look for it.

·3 years agoBut OP also said they now had to pay $9.50,. I was just giving an alternate. I actually read the whole original post, not just selective.
