Suing Ebay Australia for freezing my funds due to a seamingly endless beauracracy limbo
Summary: azrinsani81 has initiated a discussion on suing eBay Australia for freezing their funds, attributing it to an endless bureaucracy. buyingbaron, along with sugar249 and davewil1964, have briefly engaged in the conversation, though no substantial responses or solutions have been offered so far. kh-stanley1 also contributed, but their input did not bring any resolution to the issue. The discussion reflects frustration over the inefficiency and complexity of eBay Australia's processes.
I sold a Laptop for $1000 on Ebay. The buyer then complained the laptop was not good and wanted to refund back the purchase. My Paypal funds were frozen for this.
The buyer than sent the item back to me (I had to purchase the shipping labels)
Later, the buyer said he changed his mind and wanted the laptop back. He purchased the shipping labels and asked me to send the laptop back to him.
I sent the laptop back to the buyer.
It's been almost a month since the buyer received the item and until now my Paypal funds are still frozen. I can't get the money out.
I have contacted Ebay via chat but unfortunately they are unable to do anything other than wait.
I'm am now thinking of taking legal action in small claims court in Western Australia since Ebay is a registered business entity in Australia.
Question:
1) Have anyone experienced similar situation?
2) Have anyone successfully sued ebay on this?
Thanks

·2 years agoIam over this **bleep**! I've never received bad feedback everyone always got Thier items and now tonight they won't release due to no scan from the carrier, I have sent through Australia post are they not the carrier? I have a receipt for the postage they have the item , printed barcodes as Nd entered it into the system address and all as it's for USA but "it's not been scanned ". Regardless of what au post are doing I've done the right thing yet now somehow have the impossible task of trying to contact Australia Post lol yeah! I know lol. Besides this eBay has under quoted for os postage for last 12 months! I've kept all documents and proof they also gave a customer a flat rate $16 postage yet I had it set at $18.50! Too bad for me but the bit that gets me the most is they freeze our portion yet they take Thier cut immediately, add to this the two listings they created trying to change the postage to $16 and make me to be a liar lol I also took screenshots of this as well while in the act of dodgy practices 16 years loyalty amounts to nought with eBay so sick of it I too have been liaising with the ACCC and am seeking a law firm to start a class action for Thier dubious conduct and under quoting postage rates and the excuses I have from them in my emails are just laughable. I KNOW WERE NOT ALONE, Oh they also blocked me sending my customers messages relating to me asking anyone if they were facing similar problems , shonky as shonky does

·2 years agoHang on you start by saying you have never had bad feedback, you have 2 negatives. 2 negatives dont make a right.
Wont even bother reading the rest if you cant even get your opening sentence right. or is that neg

·2 years agoSo the class action is because you know your individual case doesn't stack up?
