·9 months agoNear the bottom of the page It says something like change your dimensions to see use the options not available. I had something similar when I used the express post promotion last year and found I needed to reduce the weight down and possibly the dimensions although each satchel could take up to 5kgs I had problems until I changed them.

·9 months agoI had the same problem. I use small Auspost Tough Bags 26.1 x 36.9cm which should allow me to select small. No Go. I had to change the dimensions to what eBay thinks small should be ie 35.5 x 22.5 x 7.5cm now it works for me.

OP9 months agoyea right thanks for the info

·9 months agoIt's not what eBay thinks they should be... 355 x 225mm just happens to be the actual physical dimensions of a small satchel.
Obviously if you input larger dimensions then you can't use a small satchel. It doesn't take a rocket surgeon to work that out.
gec2002
·9 months agoAnd if you use smaller dimensions it doesn't work. Auspost accept Small Tough Bags (261 x 369mm) for small Flat Rate packaging equivalent to Small Satchel pricing so eBay should also be able to accept it.
PS The expression is Rocket Scientist not Surgeon, try and get your metaphor right if your going to be sarcastic.

·9 months agoIncorrect. The expression is actually rocket surgeon, so I nailed it ☺️
I don't know what part of "it's not a satchel" you don't understand., so I'll try to explain it in greater detail for you.
You should not be selecting a small satchel unless you are using a small satchel. By changing the dimensions you are making it obvious that you aren't using a small satchel, and thereby voiding the 5kg max weight and triggering standard weight/volume calculations.
Again, what you are posting does not have a 5kg limit as a small satchel - simples.

·9 months agoThe only thing you have nailed is sarcasm - which is not in the long or short run at all helpful.

·9 months agoI am curious if you have actually checked the ebay label page and adjusted the dimensions and weights or are going off what you know it should be if no one has made an error in setting it up in the first place.

·9 months agoI forgot to mention... you're not even using a satchel, so you shouldn't be selecting that option anyway.
Those satchel options allow a weight of up to 5kg, whereas the packaging you are using does not.

OP9 months agoi wonder when it will be fixed ,my son also sells and he hasnt got this problem his is all normal,so it cant be everyone having this problem
pnc75
·9 months agoIt depends whether you use flat rate or calculated postage, from what I've gleaned to the many replies on the other thread. It's calculated postage that's affected.
I doubt it will be changed; ebay don't think there's a problem.
ore1984
OP9 months agothe item for label i wanted to print was free post what does that come under calculated or flat?

·9 months agoI can't answer that, I'm sorry, but if you read through the thread I linked, there are some very insightful posts from members who have been on ebay for many years, who helped me navigate my way through it.
Maybe someone with more knowledge than me will be able to hopefully answer your question.
Or perhaps that's another variable that hasn't been alluded to so far. It's a huge issue and it seems it's never ending. 😞
