·3 years agoWow, in the category I sell in a $1 would make it the world better. Long ago in the past when they had insertion fees people only listed stuff which would sell and would price to sell.
Now there's a vast ocean to navigate of stuff that never sells, and way way over-priced items. As a buyer I need to wade through pages of things be relisted over and over and over, to find interesting items I'd buy.

·3 years ago40 free listings went out of the window years ago, you now get 250,000.
Others have mentioned on the boards that the $1.00 listing fee shows but it's never charged.

·3 years agoUse the link below for the verification process. DON'T list until you are verified.

·3 years agoThe $1 fee usually shows at the preview listing stage, and then reverts to $0 when the listing is actually completed.
I don't know that you can still list items without signing up to managed payments, initially there were a couple of categories that were exempt. Anyway I would not recommend selling until you are fully verified for managed payments, as you will be waiting a long time for funds to be released, as there will be no way for you to be paid.
Payments no longer go to Paypal, so you will need a verified bank account, and as a new seller your funds will b e held for 21 - 30 days, with 10% held for 60 days.

·3 years ago40 free listings a month went out with the ark, it has been 250,000 for some time
You need to read up on selling basics (not by Googling) but actually read the current/up to date information for selling on eBay itself
Have you signed up to Managed Payments and been given the go ahead by eBay you can start selling?
That would be the first possible reason it is showing you $1

OP3 years agoThanks for your reply.
As said, read through both. I thought the 250K number is the old one and was happy with at least 40.
I am not a frequent seller and trying to list couple items.
it shows me to list for free when I click it and doesn't ask me to first sign up to Managed Payments!
so not sure how to do that!

·3 years agoYou have to do that before selling or you will never get any funds from selling
It won't 'ask' you to do it
But it is compulsory to do so
There is no point listing anything until you have completed everything required
It applies to every seller, now matter how often you sell
PayPal went out for seller almost three years ago
Please
Read up on everything first
Before trying to list anything
The current information, only provide on eBay by eBay

OP3 years agoyes, I believe last time I sold something I got paid through Paypal.
Ebay is asking for a lot more now!
Thanks
