Negative feedback given
Summary: aus-supplies92 shared their experience of receiving their first negative feedback despite maintaining 511 positive reviews from 516 orders. They explained that the buyer claimed unresponded communication, but aus-supplies92 found no such messages and has unsuccessfully appealed to eBay to remove the feedback. Other participants suggested the issue might be a misunderstanding, possibly meant for another seller, and shared their experiences with eBay's feedback system. Some advised persistence in communicating with eBay.
Hi All,
Yesterday I had received my first negative feedback out of 516 orders and received 511 positive feedback in return,
The buyer had stated that I ignored his question about a product they were buying but when I searched my messages via they're user name the only message that was there was the message I had sent to advise the buyer that I had shipped the order along with the tracking details etc, no message was ever sent to me from the buyer,
I had appealed to have the negative feedback removed by eBay CS team which was declined due to basically not providing customer service to a buyer that never actually messaged me, I even uploaded a screenshot to eBay to show this but was still declined, I have also requested a feedback revision from the buyer and basically asked them to send me the screenshot of his message to me that they said ignored which they have not done nor have they responded to my request or message, I have maintained full respect & carefully chosen my words while messaging the buyer in this matter also,
I have worked quite hard to maintain a 100% positive feedback and now its been pushed down to 99.8%, I know its not that big of a deal as it does not affect my top rated seller status but still bothers me as I always make it a point to deliver above and beyond customer service to all my buyer even the annoying ones lol
I guess I just wanted to see if any other sellers have had this issue before & if there were any other actions I can take in reversing eBays decision to decline the removal of the negative feedback ?

I would argue that the comment looks like it may have been meant for a different seller, as you don't have any unanswered communications with the buyer.
That being said... eBay buyers seem to have gone absolutely stupid lately. I mean, honestly, I got a neg yesterday because the buyer who selected "Registered Post" as their postage method was required to sign for it "for some unknown reason".
I'll race you.... let's see who loses their neg first

·1 week agoI don't understand why eBay would refuse. Did you ask them to review the messaging to see if there was no unanswered communication as claimed by buyer?
Unless ofcourse you have accidentally deleted the message, in which case it would still be visible to eBay and hence refusal

OP1 week agoI did ask eBay to review all messaging and the screenshot I took from myself to the buyer which they said they would pass this onto their specialist team to investigate the matter, only to be advised later the request to remove negative feedback was declined.
I never ever delete any messages as I have always thought it would be good idea to keep them in case of any disputes or any other issues could arise down the track.
I really don't understand why they have declined my request.

OP1 week agoI don't believe so has they're feedback related to the item they had purchased.
