That awful 'Live' button
Summary: therumpledacademic expressed frustration about the app's change in replacing the Notifications button with a 'Live' button, which they find useless. sandypebbles agreed, noting eBay's lack of responsiveness to user feedback. twyngwyn pointed out the alternative route to access notifications, but therumpledacademic reiterated their dissatisfaction with the added steps. e_purchasing explained the 'Live' feature's purpose, though therumpledacademic still found it unhelpful. The discussion included a suggestion to adapt to platform changes.
I cannot believe that you've removed the Notifications button in the app (useful, used regularly) to make room for the 'Live' button, which no human being has ever or will ever use. I genuinely don't even know what it means, to be 'live' in this context. I will never know, because I will never click it. But now I have to awkwardly go through extra steps just to reach notifications, which is very stupid. Bad decision. I don't expect anyone from eBay to read/heed this, but: change it back. People actually use this app.

·2 weeks agoMaybe you should read more announcements . The "Live" button takes you to live auctions where sellers are selling live online. Click it some time so you know what it is and what it is all about

OP2 weeks ago · EditedThat is useless to me, whereas Notifications remain useful, though now more cumbersome to access.

OP2 weeks agoI know. I mentioned in my post having to go through extra steps to reach notifications, not that I couldn't find them.

·2 weeks agoeBay destroying the forum and replacing it with this 'thing' is also bad
They don't care, they don't care how many numerous complaints have been made about it, they don't care how many long time members have left because of it
No, eBay and Bevy are giving themselves high 5's and pats on the back over their handiwork

·2 weeks agoOther members did not remove it
You are correct, eBay staff do not read the member to member forum
And eBay do not care what users think
I have notified them of many glitchy and rubbish things happening
Exactly zero follow up from them and zero things have been fixed
So even if any eBay staff ever did read here, they will not do anything to fix anything, nor will they take any notices of requests/concerns/suggestions or complaints
