Sellers return shipping label is addressed to the seller BUT the return address is not my address.

I started a return dispute for wrong item received but...
While the return label is addresses correctly to the seller, the return address on the return label is not my address, its even a completely different state.
The seller is in Victoria and I am in Tasmania but the return address on the return label is Victoria. (Australia)
I don't even know if the seller has even paid enough for the label to be sent from my state to the sellers state.
The worst thing is that when I firs contacted the seller about the wrong item they asked me to "write "Return to sender." on the parcel, take it to the post office and tell them its not your name and phone number."
I know that's a common scam so I obviously didn't do that.
I don't know what to do. Is this some sort of scam?

·1 year agoThe postage is the same to anywhere in Australia. Sorry can't advise on the rest of the problem.

·1 year agoIf the seller supplied the label through eBay, send it.
If the seller didn't supply the label through eBay, send it and upload the tracking to the dispute. Do that in either case.
All that matters is that the tracking shows delivery to the seller. What they paid is irrelevant as long as it's a tracked label.
I think. Unless they provided you with a label for another disgruntled buyer.

·1 year agoIf you did not buy the label, why would you expect the item to be returned to you, as the addresses have been verified by ebay. Most sellers will have more than one address registered with ebay.
