    @grottox111,

    I consider that it’s deceptive, but it’s not a scam.

    In future, please PLEASE read terms and conditions before clicking. A click on the internet is the same as a signature in a solicitor’s office.

    Also, please PLEASE for your own sake, be suspicious when there’s an offer of money, refund, discount, voucher, etc. Nobody gives random people a gift of money without getting something out of it. eBay vouchers/discount codes are for the purpose of keeping buyers on board, for instance.

    A random “You’ve qualified for [tempting little offer designed to lure you in]” is just so obviously designed ultimately to take from YOU!

     Read the link posted by cam, and follow the instructions to unsubscribe. Unless you follow those steps, you’ll continue to be charged, and even if you cancel your card, you’ll still be charged and a debt collector will be put in your trail.

    No, it is not a scam

    You (or whoever else uses your account) signed up to get the $15 voucher

    In doing so ticking that you had read and understood the t&c

    Which included agreeing to pay the monthly fee involved

    Don't tick that you have read and understood things if you have'nt

    In the unlikely event you *really* did not sign up in order to get the voucher. you need to contact your bank asap and report the charges so they can investigate and cancel your card

    You also need to contact eBay and report your account has been compromised

    Otherwise you will need to cancel your membership to Smartycashback so you don't keep being charged

    Matter of opinion, technically no, it's not! However it is something that quite a few people sign up to without realising that they are committing to ongoing subscription fees, usually because they " agree" without having read what they are agreeing to!

    If you have been offered then look into it and check whether it will be worthwhile for you before signing up.

    If they have taken money out of your account then you will need to cancel your subscription!!( Or read up on what you are paying for and make it work for you)
