Thread was aimed at a few blokes that did post on here that worked in the spare parts trade.

Well after near 50 years-i took the parcel.

At the local paper mill and power stations-the workers leaving get a large package.

I took the small parcel and ran.

No more pain and suffering from the motoring public.

Could write a book on the dramas in the spare parts industry.

Shame the motoring threads are not used much these days...........................................Richo.

Not much happens on the motoring threads any more.

Tell me about the weight and storeage room needed for old catalogues-

have heaps of PBR..Ryco from the very first single sided one in 1930s.

Payen gaskets-Repco eng parts

The oldest PBR is dated--cat 12 .1944--wartime issue.

-enjoying the retirement--moneys a bit hard--but the pensioners survive.

Making a guest appearance for a few weeks Richo. I had to use Navigator Pro today. Managed to navigate my way to the

headache/TFL (totally trucking l;ost) area with no problems at all.......... drilled down to somewhere under a septic tank I

believe.

Hi Dave---first time ive looked in here for a while.

You might be better off on the spanners and stay away from the putas and paperwork.

Still visit the old work place (deposit ..stuff in the dumpster).lol.

--have a good look inside it first--never know what those blokes

throw out when im not there.

Was shown the new ..you beaut phone system thats been installed.

Would not have been able to drive that.

Retired over 6 months now--the hours are good ...but the pays lousey.

Sold at a couple of swap meets-for extra cash.

I was looking for an RP2 to check the part number of the baldwin style 1" seal (like the P4212 but 1 inch)

Methinks from memory it is a P4243 but can't find my RP2 to check. A scan of the page would be great if possible.

Is the part no you are looking for an oil seal or brake rubber-

have old PBR catalouges as well.

Here's a copy of the PM he sent me Richo. He is refering to the scan of The repco PBR catalugoe RP2 that I scanned further up this thread

I see you have the old RP2 Rubber Parts ID book in your collection.

Any chance you could check the P4396 listing and let me know what the 1" equivalent is .... from memory it might be P4243

I also posted this next to an old post of yours but thought it wise to go straight to the source.

From the 1965 GH15 catalogue.

P4396 is a master cyl seal.3/4,

P4243 is 1 inch.

good Richo, some of my cousins up South arm lost bits and pieces. 59 homes in all were destroyed by fire up there in November.
