Of more immediate concern to me is a local assistant school principal, who appeared in court on child sex charges last week. His full name & details were given in court. Molesting 2 young girls who were being baby sat at his home. Not sure if his wife was home at that time, but the girls told his wife later that evening of the alleged assaults. The 2 girls were not known to the man before this.

This man is 53yo. Who knows what he has done in the past.

The showbiz figure [prominent Australian] was quizzed for hours on suspicion of sexual offences, four months after they interviewed him under caution

A Crown Prosecution Service spokesman revealed senior lawyers have been advising police about his case.

He added: “The CPS has given investigative advice to police in relation to a man in his 80s from Berkshire in relation to possible offences of a sexual nature.”

Operation Yewtree has three strands, one dealing with allegations directly against Savile, the second is the DJ and others and the third just others.

The 82-year-old was arrested in relation to the others group.

This week, Wilfred De’ath – the fourth person held by Yewtree officers – was told he would not be charged.

The former BBC producer, who is in his 70s and once worked with Savile on a radio show, claimed police had been “arresting people on rather spurious allegations”, having “lamentably failed to get” the presenter when he was alive.

The CPS said there was not enough evidence to charge Mr De’ath after a woman withdrew allegations against him.

what? the complaint against an unnamed celebrity??

How can you tell it is the complaint that has been lodged against the celebrity that is mentioned in this thread.

The only complaint I see withdrawn is the one againsts the named Wilfrid De'ath

I heard on Ch 24 that the unnamed (Aust) celebrity had been released on bail and that since then the woman had withdrawn her complaint against him.

I wish people here would not link him to offences against children, the offence was against a woman.

But if I am wrong, I daresay all the details will emerge later in the year.

It's an offence by law to publish his name, his name has been supressed. People ought to be more careful before they convict people on social media.

As psa said, the complaint against the unnamed person has been withdrawn by an ADULT woman.

MSM (main stream media) has since November 2012 published his name.

What they have or haven't done is not the point at this time..it is our right to know and the failings of the main stream media and their own self-censorship. The failing of the media is a topic this site has covered numerous times and will continue to do so.

To my knowledge there is no court order here or in Britain restraining the media from naming ......

If this had happened to the average person, a priest or politician etc. they would have been named. No question about it.

Windrake, are you not against media self regulation ?

The unnamed person is part of a third strand of the investigation which does NOT involve children.

I have answered this ^^^^

But the link suggests he has no direct involvement. That is a bit hard to believe when he was arrested and released on bail. Although I have no knowledge of the British justice system, that sounds fairly serious to me.

It is not your right to know anything & trying to tie me into the freedom of the press is sickening.

The person is not charged with any crime, his name has been suppressed because of that reason. Are you saying he should be named, his reputation trashed for life, the stain of child abuse or child sexual predator when the complaint was made by an adult who has since withdrawn the complaint.

Why are you so rabid for blood, why are you so anxious to name him & destroy a career for something that may or may not have happened. What's your motive? other than smear & innuendo.

Leave me out of your accusations, I don't want any part of them.
