Go to My Settings --> Preferences --> Linear Layout --> Jump to first unread post in a topic.

That was something that was missing from the last changes.

all forums seem to be going this way these days, even local news forums..i.e.linked in with FaceAche & Twoddle etc.....why have independent forums if they're all climbing into bed with each other?...ADVERTISING will be at the heart of it.....they've now managed to 'commodify' our opinions.....

I don't like all this linking up of social media...once upon a time it was independent of each other and soon it will be all the same thing...i.e. something you say here will instantly get posted everywhere?...huh?....why post here then given the horrendous anti consumer moderation model?....any word of how that might change? or not?

I agree with that. Individually we can choose not take up those options, but it is a concern overall.
