update on my dad

To all the lovely people who read my previous post asking for info with regard to my sick dad and who sent me beautiful messages, i just wanted to update the situation.

My beautiful dad passed away last night. He was moved back to the nursing home on Monday and into a pallative care situation. He was in extreme pain so they were able to call in the doctor and he received morphine to make him comfortable. I saw him yesterday and he was sleeping peacefully. They rang last night to let me know he had gone. As you can imagine i am very sad but also relieved that he is no longer suffering. He is resting in peace.

Though this forum can sometimes be a hotbed of craziness, there are plenty of times like this when the spirit part is truly alive. Though we all only know each other through the words on a screen those words can mean so much at a difficult time and they are very much appreciated. My sincere thanks to you all.

ddb thank you. you are truly one of the bravest people i know. my experiences of the past few months and especially past week only bring home to me what a truly strong woman you are and my thoughts are with you always.
