we didn't get winter here this year. Not one day where we needed a jumper. A couple of nights where we pulled out long sleeve shirts, but apart from that, nuffin.

Could it be that the popularity of coca cola has changed the co2 levels? The frame fits pretty well.:)

Coca Cola needs to be taxed to save the planet. it would help reduce pollution too 🙂

Unfortunately the the coca cola deniers will try to discredit the science. Their addiction to the noxious fluid will cloud their better judgement and alas they are in the majority 😞

I have found graphs for that period mentioned in the OP

One for CO2 and one for temperature. I layered one on top of the other there is an irregularity for current CO2 v temperature for the current period.

I the past there has been a fairly close relationship between the two but that is not so for the present

Judge for your self

blue is temperature

Green is CO2

i don't think it matters anymore.

nothing, or not enough will change.

we are going to hit the wall with full speed.

my only comfort is that after we wrecked the planet and eradicated ourselves nature will be able to recover in a few million years.

One has to wonder just what speed that will be.

I agree that nature will endure and the earth will not even blink at the passing of humanity.

We may be able to contribute to the downfall of humanity but there is no way we can destroy the earth.

the earth has been around for around 34billion years and it will continue to be around until the sun winks out.

Even after that it will be still around.

Even better, that would prevent over crowding and they would have to reproduce for sustenance.

I might just add a quote from Dr Roy Spencer (He has worked for NASA since 1984 - 2001....currently the U.S. Science Team

leader for the Advanced Microwave Scanning Radiometer (AMSR-E) on NASA's Aqua satellite, a position he has held since 1994.

So he has 29 years of history with NASA.....
