What is with the ebay private groups? They dont let anyone in. What are they saying thats so secretive?

They are private so friends can chat without usual nasty stuff coming up or they can talk more openly without the trolls taking notes for ammunition for a latter attack.

When you chat and make a few friends here you will be invited.

And don't be too concerned as most groups implode quickly and all the fun stuff happens here ]:)

I suppose if everyone knew they wouldn't be private groups ?

I don't believe everyone needs to be friends they could all just share similar interests .

I believe that the Moderators actually suggest opening a group as one of the things to do if id's have trouble on the boards...that and ignore and/or report .Opening a group may be a good way to go I suppose though I personally like the variety of discussion CS offers if one wants to join in and/or start their own thread .There are more people around to discuss things with here.

I suppose that if you are interested in a group you could open one yourself 🙂

It's as Hawk says missgolightly, people with groups tend to be careful who they let in until they have been in here for sometime and one can work out if they would fit in with the people in the group.

Often old friends who have known eachother for years and just want to catch up on family news and stuff that would be trolled in here. 🙂

OP you could join the cat group, it's not private. I belong to a group or two but we're not taking new members because we're comfortable with the current crew.

i bet there are heaps of lolcats and cat tips in the cat group, how fun!

The dog group leader disappeared long time ago. I think that was the reason your request was ignored. And the dog group was closed recently because no one posting.

Groups will be closed by eBay if no one posts for 60 days.

Start a new dog group yourself. And make it public group. I bet a lot of people will join.
