Knickers In Plain View

Often in my travels I see houses who have their clotheslines in full view of passing traffic?

Many times I see underwear hung out to dry for everyone to see.

Our own clotheslines are in the backyard, behind the block of flats. Some of them under the back unit balconies.

Even if my clothesline were in view of traffic, I'd put the smalls at the back and cover them with sheets and/or towels at the front.

Where is your clothesline, and how do you hang your washing?

Our washing is hung on a line on the back deck.........except for underwear, I put it on a clothes rack on the back deck, but no one can see it like they can the ordinary clothes.

Some people just dont care, but I have a thing about who sees what.

I only have one neighbour who may be able to see my clothes line but I don't care I just hang em up where they fit. I'm sure he has better things to do than check out my undies. At least while they are hanging on the clothes line 🙂

I'm in between clothes lines at the moment due to landscaping and either have to use clothes horses or the dryer. When did have a clothes line, I'd hang the smaller items in the middle and work my way outwards,with the larger items at the front.

Nobody gets to see my and my OH's undies except him and me. I hang all our smalls on a clothes drying rack indoors. Towels as well

Mainly because I live 3 storeys up and only go downstairs to hang up big items like sheets.

When I had a proper clothes line, I used to hang them the way blue.cat did, but we did away with the line and use the deck instead.

Our clothes line is in the backyard but we have 3 neighbours that can see in cause our fences are only hip height.

It never occurred to me to hide our underwear - i see theirs, they see mine. No big deal.

Some people do look at your undies.

Years ago a neighbour said to me about another neighbour something was wrong with her because she only had black under wear.

I never hung my smallls on the line again but dried them in the hot water cupboard.

i installed a fold-up clothesline out the back it seems the logic place to stick it

but my fuddy duddy neighbour perves on whatever i hang on it

and i would have to wait untill the next green collection, if i want to use it again because a climber has attacked it

i used to know people who'd steal clothes off the line, so for that reason alone it'd be safer to have it hidden

Pffft!

I purposely removed my Hills Hoist from my backyard and erected it in my front yard, in plain view of a busy street. I have my XL Y-fronts hanging 7 days a week, for all to see. I even put up a big flashing neon arrow on my roof that points to the Y-fronts on the line. Size matters. I've got it. I am flautinting. I am an UNDERWEAR GOD!

We have a Hills Hoist and live on a corner so our stuff shoots the breeze.
