The one that you like Darki and I also like the Aldi one with the surfing Santas.

If you dont have Aldi in Tasmania Darki, you wont have the santa one.

I dont really take that much notice of ads.

Mine is the animal rescue ad.

The nervous young couple telling their 'son' that he is old enough to be told he is adopted (camera pans to dog)

And that Fluffy isn't his real sister (pans to cat)

And neither is Mitzi (pans to duck)

I like the " I bought a Jeep" ad where two bloke are at a kid's party drinking and the little kid in a cowboy suit comes up and says "MIster I think I'm going to be sick" and they both unison take a step backwards with a horrified look on their faces.

Particularly the way they look to someone out of camera shot (has to be a woman) to come and deal with the vomit! I've been on a very long search to find out who elected me in charge of kid/cat vomit. Ditto poop. blood etc....

My (first) husband tells me he can't do it because it makes him gag. Poor baby.

I had an almost identical experience with my 4 year old daughter in the Post Office one day. Only difference was, I didn't get her out before she pointed at the lady staff member with an eye patch -"Ooh Mummy, look at the pirate!!!!"

We were standing in line at the time and there was nowhere to hide.

Hahahaaaa Neville's daughter... yep that's the way it happens.

The other ad i love is the young couple with the fish being chased by the bear. I think that is the bear that features in the series where he is reared by a fellow who obviously dotes on him and between them the bear will do almost anything.

Love the way the couple vanish over the side of the wharf into the dinghy as the bear sails overhead... and the look on their faces as he pulls them back to shore...

One that nearly makes me cry every time is the Life Saver's one with the little girl at the edge of the water with helicopters, rubber duckies, speedboats and about a million lifesavers all around, fades back to the picture of the little girl with one big bronzed lifesaver watching over her. No dialogue - just the caption "Whatever it takes...."

Haven't seen it yet this Summer but it usually pops up soon, and it gets me every time.

I would have to say the "compare the meerkat (market).com.au." Clever and visually well done with the depiction of the meerkats. They look so real AND I hasten to add I am a long time fan of these little critters ever since having seen "Meerkat Manor" on the tele several years ago.

I saw Rhonda in that Aust series on the ABC last year about Christmases in the back yard of an extended family.

She played a homeless woman someone bring along to share Christmas, and she robs the joint and the show ends showing Rhonda and all her homeless buddies having a great time with all the ill-gotten gains.

As a totally unrelated bit of trivia, the show also had "Madge" from the old Palmolive ad ("You're soaking in it!"). Is there anybody out there as old as me?

Wish I had seen that program, ND. Sounds like it was a scream. I certainly remember Madge and the Palmolive ads. Grew up with these so I suppose I could be classified as an "oldie" although a "goodie" I like to think, lol.

I have a good laugh at the ad about the pest gadget where the guy says

" I installed two in my mother in laws house, nothing seen of moving anywhere" but the I have a pretty sick sense of humour.

Me too!

My (first) husband and I always say "flipped on her back, dead as a doornail, swept her up with the brush and pan, and no problems since".

My mother doesn't think it's funny but.....
