Idioms and our changing language

I'm not sure if idioms is the right word but you know how things become common speak? It might be catch phrases.

Some really annoy me. The one that is my first world problem (thanks Buzz) at the moment is 'on trend'. What happened to trendy?

Another one is when the fashion industry changed a pair of pants to a pant.

They can be good though. Otherwise we wouldn't have carp on CS instead of **bleep**.

Which are your least and most favourites.

Apair of pants is what one wears on legs and backside, a pant is what pne does after exertion like running or gym workout.

I know, Iknow, I am old fasioned.

I've got to say LOL to that one 😄

A radio station a while ago put out a challenge to listeners to come up with a phrase or catch word that would be picked up. I'm not sure how they went. I think we should have a challenge here. We already did it with carp and No 10.
