I have a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and she has always been a shocker to walk. Sniffing, getting excited then pulling like crazy. We have tried everything from training school to all the collars and harnesses. Then we found the Ezy Walk harness. From the instant we put it on her she walked normally. Now we can take her anywhere, even into the middle of town without her pulling. If you have this problem, save yourself heaps of money and get the Ezy Walk harness, no other brand. The leash is attached to the front chest strap which makes the big difference. You now have control.

Yes the are great aren't they. There are several other brands on the market, just as good too.

I checked out that harness, Corgi.

I never ever use a leash attached to a collar for my two wee maltese crosses, only a harness.

However, they do pull on the harnesses.....the attachment is on the dogs' backs.

That front attachment looks like it may solve the problem.

Most dogs don't like the type that goes over the nose, mine included. Takes a while for them to get used to it. If you have a short nosed dog like mine then they aren't successful. I don't like using collars for walking either, especially with a brachy dog as it effects their breathing.

Talking to a girl at a major pet shop and she said the Ezy Walk is the best one (they don't sell that brand where she works). She has a Golden Retriever. The only critisism I have of this brand is the sizing. Millie is a large Cavie so had to go to a medium fit. However, she has a very small fine chest which meant the chest strap couldn't be tightened right up. I had it shortened by Mr. Minit but still a bit loose which made the other strap rub on her. To get over this problem I am getting velcoe padding put on the straps which will make it more comfortable.

There is absolutely no way I would use anything else after using this harness.

Twinkes, I prefer not to use those nose/head halters.

An aside, I had a funny image when I read your post.......how would they fit a nose/head halter on a pekinese or an english bull dog?

did anyone see on telly where they reckoned some restraint harnesses weren't safe/effective?

They tested them but didn't release the results (which brands)

I need a harness for my dog when he's in the back of the ute. He likes to lunge at passing vehicles and if it breaks he'll fly over the side and get squished

Just so everyone knows, I wanted to tell about this harness because it is a life saver and there would be plenty of other people who have had the same problem as I did. Why I mentioned the brand Ezy Walk is so you know what kind of harness to get. I have no financial interests in this product and did not start this thread to get more sales.

No doubt there will be sellers on eBay who sell this product but if not, Google it. I know PetBarn and PetStock don't stock it but some other pet shops do, that's where I bought mine. It is a joy to walk my dog now.
