Thanks for starting this thread.

Last night's couple were really surprising but I think they are used to the professional side of food preparation which must be a big help.

I would have loved to have tried their food but not tonight's, I think baked beans on toast would have done me tonight.

The "I've been everywhere" couple seemed to be smiling to the point of laughing as tonight's couple had their entree critiqued

Yes, so far they really do seem genuinely nice.

I think the "we've been everywhere" is going to drive everyone up the wall.

the old couple are the ones who are sneaky. They scored the worst on both nights. They gave the first team a 6 and the second team a 3.

To me, a score of 3 and under for all dishes would mean they were all barely edible

I'm in a FB group where we live chat while the show is on. Most of them are in Canberra and they were cringing all last night. If you're going to pull the out there and wacky gig you really have to have the goods - and they didn't.

the editing made it look like the "world travel" girls were smiling and smirking everytime a bad word was said about the food.

As mush as the girls come across as a pair of you know whats, i think the editing is making them look worse. The show always has a villain

How the hell did Andrew & Emily even get on the show in the first place? Surely there must be an audition process where the producers make sure that the prospective entrants are at least able to cook to a reasonable standard, but last night's meal was visually appalling and I think Manu was spot on when he gave them a score of just 1 for their ridiculous "entree".

Not to be overly critical, but somebody should also tell the Greek twins that the colour of the lipstick they both wore last night made them look like skanks (and would therefore have been the perfect choice for the WA girls instead). 🙂

I can imagine how stressful it must be, having the instant rest. but surely people cook something they're fairly competent with?

Don't think last nights duo will last. Can't wait for the "well travelled" friends turn!! and yep, it seems the producers want us to see them as the baddies. Got to have at least one team like that.

I do like the half a brain each sisters hahahaa!!!

Regarding the "well-travelled" girls from WA, after loudly and continually complaining to all and sundry about how much one of them loathes cheese, she did a pretty good job of putting it away and seemed to be thoroughly enjoying it as well.

I realise that it's good for the show's ratings, but why do they always seem to pit two teams of females against each other and portray them as mortal enemies? It's becoming a bit cliche now, and IMO detracts from the true purpose of the program.

Anything involving Jack Daniels beyond putting ice cubes and sodapop in it just speaks volumes about their cooking credentials.

And to pop three prawns - which appeared to be plainly pan-fried - into a glass with a limp lettuce leaf and a splodge of said sauce - shows a stunning lack of imagination.

I agree that it isn't necessary to have female teams at logger heads but I'll still watch it lol!

and yes, really sloppy meals last night.....the entree was an American one I think ? Sounded pretty gross......did you notice the tart was served with a spoon? it needed a dessert fork as well, Manu had to use his finger to push it on the spoon. Only nit picking but all the little things do add up.

After the bombardment of ads during the first episode, we'll be recording then ffing through them. Its all manufactured entertainment complete with stereotypes but it is very addictive..........

Lipstick of any colour does not make a woman look like a skank.

Women can wear whatever colour lipstick they like and should not be subject to moral judgement based on that colour alone.

I love Lime Crime lipsticks so if anyone wants an idea of the reds I wear then do a quick search of the brand in Health and Beauty.

I love it loud, bright and strong and really, really noticeable, and I'm no skank.
