I have never eaten it and don't intend to, however lots of people do and believe it is healthy.

I have tried it but did not like it very much you have to eat it almost raw or it is tough and I don't like raw meat.

I don't like eating Kangaroo....there are too many other tastier things to eat.:-)

To me....it's dog food. Let them have it!

To me, it tastes like steak ... just a little gamey.

Nice texture ... not at all "stringy" ... more like a good fillet steak.

What my butcher said when I first bought it is to bring it up to room temperature, place in a very hot frying pan, and cook for 2 minutes either side. Then, let it rest for a few minutes.

I like the taste of it too though I've only eaten the Kanga Bangers which

are probably the same, and I fry them. They Need more than 4 mins though,

a good 10 I'd say. . But there's no fat.

i dont like it too strong for me - plus ive seen the wild game boxes in rural australia *ick* i like to know where my meat has come from and how it was treated so we grow and slaughter our own - except chooks i buy chicken because im too lazy to deal with them

I feed our dogs 'roo meat from time to time - wonder if it has the same health risks for animals?

It's also the basis for Screech's (orphaned Tawny) meals. I was always told to feed animals 'roo meat because it was so lean.

What does this mean? Is it a game trap? (please not too graphic if that's what it is)

Snakes, would be interested in what you grow and slaughter, as we've just started growing our own beef and lamb - not yet to the slaughter stage - so would be interested in what processes you use.
